Pvp dex build help

What to do for this build, I plan on finishing him at around L60i think. At the moment I'm using .
RH +5 Quelaags and +11 pyro flame
LH tower kite +10 and a bow also use a +5 fire piece shield
+8 wanderer hood +9 wanderer coat and + 4 black iron arms and legs.
Rings are RoFaP and the other is switched around..
Level 38 chaos +1
Vit 22
Att 16
End 18
Str 14
Dex 20
Res 12
Int 11
Fai 8

I have a laito +5 and sometimes use black cleric coat and hea arms legs shadow, have not played much as dex so not shaw what weapons to upgrade and where to invest my last 22 or so stats. Thanks for any help.

Whenever you're asking for build advice, you should try to use this this as it's easier for people to look at, and play with your build to give you better advice

Why are you stopping at level 60 by the way? I ask because if you're planning on PvPing in a specific area, you should tailor your equipment/spells to give you an advantage. Unless you want to put your remaining points to get Dex up to 40, stick with elemental weapons. A chaos Katana/Falchion/Shotel would easily out damage your Quelaag's Fury Sword at 20 dex, so if you're not worried about originality go with something like that.

I would also recommend switching your pyro flame into your left hand, and your Bow into your right. This way you can use pyro and weapons at the same time.

Without really knowing what your wanting, it's hard to give you advice. If you put your Dex to 40, the Balder Side Sword or the larger rapiers (e.g estoc) are a good choice if you wear the Leo ring which gives you 40% extra damage on thrust weapons and attacks if you hit an opponent while they are mid roll/jump/attack. Any +15 katana would be good as well. I've had a lot of fun with the Silver Knight Spear as well, though be prepared for hatemail If you don't want dex at 40, then bump up your endurance and vitality and take one of the elemental weapons I mentioned earlier, and maybe get an extra attunement slot or 2 for some for more pyromancies; Great Chaos Fireball, Fire Whip, Fure Surge, Great Combustion, Fire Tempest are all good choices

Edit: Increasing dex will also increase your pyromancy casting speed, with 45 dex giving you the fastest speed

Yeah, for sl60 your better off getting base stats for the weapons you want and take them down an elemental path.

For Sl100 + up your dex to 40/45 for fast casts, and weapon scaling and maYbe throw a buff in there ~30 faith for SLB/DMB.

I'm doing a Dex build too...but I'll not use Pyromace, I'll use Miracles instead...

Are you planning on going to sl120? thats the lvl dex/pyros shine,imo. Cause it allows you to have max casting speed and decent hp/end. ps: if you use dusks crown, i suggest taking it off if you fight a mage or opponent with a MLGS. It decreases your magic deff by 30%.

Cheers for advise will probably take dex to 40 and finish at around L80 which ive found to be great for pvp.I had become a bit stuck with this build and I had been finding the fury sword a bit underwhelming . I'm also trying to run a dex/faith build, but I can't seem to get the stats to work out. this is what I've come up with, but I don't want to have to go up to sl l28. Any tips?

drop your dex to 40 those 5 points only provide a marginal increase in your WoG casting time. which if your opponent doesnt see it coming will hit anyway and if they do it wont anyway.
dropping faith to 30 will also free up some points for you since either 30 or 50 are pretty nice sweet spots

I think I'll take the laito to + 15 and go for the 40 dex and use a light lightning Xbow as backup. Have been playing around with possible builds and with 30 end and vite I could lose the RoFaP freeing up a ring slot. RoFaP becomes a very big cruch to lean on in PvE and PvP. I'm still surprised that the pyro doesn't have a spell buff for weapons as either fire or poison.

53 is a breakup for the greatsword's normal R1 attack, but after recently talking to WyrmHero I found out that 56 is another breakup for the greatsword's sprinting R1 attack. 56 will make it so you don't fall back on the ground from a sprinting R1.

Oh wow I had no idea there was another break point for the sprinting attack. Does it matter if the attack is 2h or 1h?

I know for a fact that the 1H greatsword sprinting attack (runs at you and swings the sword 180 degrees in front of him) can be tanked with 56 poise, although I'm not 100% sure about the 2H.

The 2H sprinting attack might require more poise.

I'll have to test that! But I HIGHLY recommend getting 56+ because you do not want to get hit by a running R1, it will knock you on the ground and they will try to hit you hard after you recover or better yet, bs you.

Personally I recommend 60+, but 56+ would suffice.

My personal favorite armor combo is:

Mask of the Mother
Black Knight Armor
Havel's Guantlets
Black Knight Leggings

= 60 poise

I usually roll with the balder armor, 1 (or 2) piece of havel's, and either the wanderer leggings or knight gloves depending on which piece of havel's I'm wearing. If my poise isn't high enough (at least 76) I throw on the wolf ring and I'm set.

Yeah Wolf Ring can be worth it sometimes. I personally just try to keep my end at a point that I can get 60+ poise through armor. I use the Wolf occasionally, but I prefer trying to save a ring slot. But if it works for you then that's all that matters, as long as you're having fun! Maybe we can test your build sometime? xD

What SL are you planning at stopping at? I have a DEX Build that I need to make on XBL and PSN and it's 120 so I was wondering.

I actually have 2 dex builds, one is a dex/pyro and the other is a dex/faith. The pyro build is 120, and the faith is 125 for hosting.
