Here are some tactics.
1. Learn how to counter BS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fsp6k4830a0
2. Fight unlocked and spin around to punish their attempts.
3. Back to the wall and parry.
4. Good distancing (out of reach from a roll that would putr the right behind you). Can either be really close or far.
5. Duel in FC.

two hand a curved sword like quelaags, often even if they get the bs it'll deal no damage and you can dead angle with it too. that and thorn armor can cause the same null bs effect on occasion too.
