Yeah so many big slow leave the user open to R2s from my BSS that score counter damage, and if I can tank the swing I can usually land 2 or 3 and maybe end the fight

Made me realize Str/Faith hybrids suck for dueling. No good player would be stupid enough to land on the DGM slow swings/thrusts.

When you consider counter damage Dex weapons have a clear advantage over Str weapons.

They don't suck but they are disadvantaged. Str/int is actually a better combo than str/faith because sorcery benifits very little from dex. With the dgm I win by baiting the opponent into a trade, which I win because I'm using the dgm.

Forum is one of the few players, along with Rant, who really capitalizes on the strengths of ultra weapons. Listen to him.
And I've only recently started doing multiple R2s with the BSS because previously I figured I'd just get parried. Then I realized a lot of players don't parry or aren't very good at it. Even withoit the Leo Ring it slams people all day. And I'm now in love with the Clay.

All attacks get counter bonus. Leo ring only effects thrusting weapons.

The R2 of a greatsword is a thrust, so it does get the bonus I guess, mmmm...

Nah, I think some people have tested it. It has to be classified as a thrust weapon.
