File Compatibility between this game and it's future edition

I've already decided to buy the new Dark Souls console edition when it comes out (PSN stopped working in my region a few years ago).
Has anyone heard if the files of the current version will be compatible with the Artorias of the Abyss edition?

If they aren't, at least I'm going to save myself some time.

I can't imagine that there would be any real difference they rereleased the console version...like, I don't think it would be totally disc based without any update, if anything they'd do like Oblivion's Game of the Year and provide the new content on a bonus disc to upload to the system rather than be a straight from the box deal, follow?
