I have already defeated the boss I am just sticking around to co-op and do some darkmoon invading. I do not see a gravelord sign anywhere and I do not remember there being red knights the last time I was in ng+. Any ideas?

sometimes the gravelord will go offline but his curse(but not his sign) will remain... this can last for days in some rarer cases.

If you quit the game while there are Black Phantoms (red enemies) present ,
chances are that they stick around for a little longer.
Im not sure how long , this varies , but they will dissapear eventually.
Sometimes they just dissapear out of thin air after a set amount of time ,
But they also vanish if a NEW gravelord gets killed in your player group , in the same area

i wa sonce cursed for anout a month, me and mofo cursed each other in the moonpit but since were were getting invaded and invading we never got to fight each other so the bp stayed there for freaking ever! lol.

BPs persist offline too, I was infected once and didn't know it, I was at Firelink and disconnected my router so I could sign out of XBL, I run over to the Parish lifts, not paying much attention to whats going on, I step out of the lift all happy go lucky and then SLAM BP Tower Knight roflstomps my undead heiney. Since then, I ALWAYS check first before coming off that lift.
