The BKGA is actually... fun!

I have shy'd away from this weapon, 'cause of it bad rep. But i was bored tonight, and decided to slap it on on my 40/40 build. And you know what? It's the most fun I've had with the game in a long time.

I do feel kinda of guilty, and I did get a bit of hatemail, but screw it. I'm not ganking, I'm not even fishing for BS.

This thing just destroys, and if you use it like a Mura to dead angle.. well.. it's a bit harder for them to parry, and makes things a lot more interesting.

I definitely nominate it for one of the most fun weapons to use in the game.

Any one here feels the same way about it? Or does every one just plain out hates it?

Yeah it is really powerful weapon if used properly. Very good for dead angles and the dmg is massive.

I don't hate it in particular, it's just that I get sick of seeing the same thing too much. I've actually been seeing a lot of dragon weapons today, so if I fought against a BKGA user I wouldn't mind. But it just comes with, "Have I seen too much of this?" I'm using a rapier, and I can totally get people getting sick of roll and poke fights so I get it as well. Just always keep an eye out for parries with that thing, even its dead angles can be countered, or roll bs'ed.

It's very potent. I'm pretty sure I could kill anyone with it.
It's the same reason I shy away from builds like -this- one though.

Nothing is fun about beating -everyone-... it's why I don't understand ganking actually.

How do you fight with such low endurance Rynn? I've noticed that on a few of your builds...

Don't go too crazy with rolls and attacks, and patience. Even while being aggressive it's pretty easy to do. As well if you don't care as much about armor, you can get a lot of damage out of your weapons.

If I needed more then 3 attacks to kill you, then I was going to die anyway.. and 90 stamina = 3 attacks with most weapons. I find fighting with so little actually very easy, because I use lots of throwing knives, fire-bombs, etc, so many of my offensive actions take no stamina.

What about defence? Blocking and rolling... and what about weapons that don't have the power to 3 hit kill

EDIT: I in general, since i've seen you have low stamina on other builds too

I'm pretty sure I don't even need to roll anymore, I parry a majority of attacks that come towards me.
I need better people to fight against. Seriously.

I look forward to it. I think my skills are truly suffering from all the jerks on X-box... and while PS3 still has them, I genuinely feel you have less.

We just have more people. It's easy to find the one turd out of 3 but easier to avoid when its 33 turds out of 100.

I just need to warn you, I'm not 'above' using any weapon really, so you'll see me use weapons usually used by gankers in some of our fights. So long as I don't use them to backstab, I'm hoping you won't mind.

Why buy a PS3 now, aren't all the companies (Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft) coming out with new systems this year?

They're presenting them at E3 but they won't be coming out untill the end of next year or the year after. But I think the Wii-U is the only one being released earlier then the others.

I've also been thinking about getting a PS3 for Dark Souls.

E3 has already passed. No announcement of a 720 or ps4.
Only the Wii U will come out this year.
The next ps3 and 360 will probably wont come out for another year or two.

Only thing i dont get is why does the Battle Axe which is like 1/5 the size of the BKGA make you stagger when you miss, but the BKGA just has a clean sweep no matter what.

that's is one of the reason the bkga is really unbalanced. i actually really like it, much like the clay it's powerful and really easy to use with a great moveset.

I like to use it in PvE, so if I get invaded randomly it's bad luck for them I guess. I'll use it in the forest sometimes too when I get especially annoyed with the gank and really want to put the hurt on them but I generally don't like looking like every bozo who doesn't know how to fight properly, and I don't even have that much experience with it in PvP so i couldn't say I'm that good with it either. It is a lot of fun though, I like fighting with weapons that give the impression that the character actually knows how to use them.

@Ninja: My only guess is that the BKGA needs just enough force to get moving and the weight and tremendous power of the weapon take care of the rest. The Battle axe is so much smaller that it needs a lot more force to harm the enemy, while being just heavy enough that it can't be used fluidly. It doesn't make much sense though, like how the GSoA weighs the same as the Zwei but is much faster and much less cumbersome. I guess it's a matter of balance.
