Is it childish that I enjoyed playing with water guns today? I ended up going out and buying a battery-powered, magazine'd super soaker (nothing will ever beat the super soaker 2000) and having a massive water fight at a birthday party. If so then screw it, I'm still a kid inside

You shouldn't feel bad really, if your ex is someone like that frankly you should feel lucky you've gotten away from her now, she seems pretty damn shallow doing that.

The fact that you asked her out and she said yes should mean something. Even though you say you are shy/unsocial, she saw something in you that made her say yes. You should be more confident in yourself!

Like bunny said, experience helps, and experiencing what you had as a youth will help you in the future, one way or another.

Spur everyone has insecurities and worries like that, men/women alike. Though if you meet someone right you'll find you suddenly have the courage to ask them out, to be with them and stick with it, just because it's them.

You gotta remember to just not rush into anything that isn't right for you, all that does is just end up going badly.

I'm having one of those nights where I just want a bottle of wine and a good book to read.
