I'm an evil invader

After becoming fed up with "PvP" I decided I wanted to cause a little mayhem and straight invade people. I consider invading to be different from PvP in the respect that PvP is a one on one honorable duel, while invading is more in line with what the game developers had in mind, where your goal is to make the game a pain in the *** for the host and add just a little more difficulty to an already hard game.

I decided Sen's Fortress would be a fun place to give some people a hard time, so with my SL 30 Darkwraith I invaded in the first part. As I spawn I see the host and a phantom running across that first bridge with the pendulums. I follow them across and the phantom turns around at the end to protect the host. I run towards them, and time my attack with the swinging of the pendulum at the end. My attack hits the phantom's shield, and I immediately roll backwards. The phantom tried to use a powerful attack with his halberd, which put him right in line with the backswing of the pendulum. He is hit and killed when he falls off the edge. The host then freaks out and tries running for a second, until he realizes the caster lizard man is at the top of the stairs. He turns to fight and it was a matter of seconds before I brought him down.

While I don't enjoy picking on less skilled players, I feel like it is my duty to pass on a bit of hurt to other players so they never feel safe in human form. I think it's part of the game. Lord knows how many times I've been killed by a much more powerful invader. Just a fun little story for you guys to enjoy. Sometimes I just can't help but be evil. Thoughts?

I hate that thing. Lost a blood stain with 13 humanity cuz of the thin one before reaching the top once.

same here, my machete build was made specificaly for pvp but i use it for invading and its so fun, i like going to tog and make the host kill rhea, im sorry but if youre that far in the game and you and up killing rhea by mistake its your fault.

I agree with TS, it is part of the game and personally I like it when I get invaded like that. It just gives the game a different atmosphere which is really cool. I do it once in a while but I try to judge the level of the player and swicth my weapons accordingly. haha Not always successfully.

i've never understood unprovoked maliciousness. they weren't looking for a fight so why make an already difficult game harder? if i'm chilling in the forest thats one thing but i'm very careful about having indictements both so i can have my shot at revenge and so i can know theres a chance they get jumped by some lvl 564 dude who mops the floor with their face.

lore wise it's supposed to be like that, except for red signs all invasions were intended to be no holds barred hunts, but thats just BS so we've established informal rules so things are a litle more civilized, people don't have to follow these guidelines if they don't want as evidenced by this thread.

I never have 13 humanities bad luck is not good for this game

Personally I like the chaotic multiplayer. I *love* jolly co-op, especially with other clueless losers like myself -- and yeah, getting invaded periodically.


See, if you're playing the game as it was meant to be played, and you're getting invaded by someone who's likewise playing the game as it was meant to be played, it's always *close* to fair, somewhat.... Of course, now that I've parked my character at Anor Londo and poured tens of thousands into OP upgrades that are above what my level should reasonably have, I guess I'm part of the problem. If it's a problem.

what equips were you using?

as long as you didn't had a lightning weapon or a boss soul weapon you're good on my book,

however if you were grieving,come here i'll shove this greatsword of artorias down your throat

bs in duels yes, but if i wasn't waiting in the forest/kiln for a match, its kill or be killed and life>niceties. my only rule there is no glitches. i'll lose by the games rules before i'll cheat.

You're the type of player that everybody loves to hate! Keep up the good work! If players don't want to be invaded they can always play dead.
