Got my Leo Ring in NG++!!! Kind of anticlimactic too if you wanna know how

So I researched high armor protection with good lightning protection and it was the Giant Armor hands down. So I farmed until I got my Endurance up and enough souls to buy and upgrade everything.

I two handed my Great Sword of Artorias and ran right to fat boy and started wackin away at him. Jumping out of the way with the DWGR equipped until my stamina came back up then ran back in and put the smack down on him. Took several times of course and a half dozen swigs of juice.

Well, Solaire died as usual since he seems to concentrate on Ornstein EVERY FREAKIN TIME I do this. So he's dead and no help for Ornsteinx2. That sucker is STRONG. He popped me with his spear then lightninged me and I was down to the bare minimum so I took off like a bat out of hell and luckily got behind a broken pillar as he missed me with another lightning bolt. I took a couple swigs and grabbed my Composite Bow +14 and took a shot. I hit him for 67. He's still trying to throw lightning at me. So I keep shooting. 67 67 67 then I realize HE'S NOT MOVING!!!!!! I put on my Hawk Ring, realize like a moron I'm shooting standard arrows so I quick trigger to my 999 Feather Arrows and BLAM! 188 188 188 until he died 5 minutes later.

WTF? Why didn't he move? Trust me I'm happy as HELL but HUH??????

I've had him do something somewhat similar while I was hurling Emit Forces at him once, but he eventually started moving. Congratulations on "soloing" them though, many people can't do that.

Yeah there is a hitch in some of the boss AI that allows you to trap them in looping moves and get a 'cheese' victory.

Thanks guys. And thanks to the guy who mentioned the Composite Bow! I'd read it wasn't that great due to the lack of distance but it's a PERFECT distance for thwapping Giants and Ornstein.

I also just found another favorite soul farming area. Run down from the big booby girl and hit the two "imperial" guards, the dragon bow guy and the two giant guards and you're getting some quick, easy BUNCH of souls. I guess easy if you continually nail the Dragon Bow guy in the head.

Anybody notice the white phalic symbol in front of booby girl???? I had to show my wife that chick and then we both noticed it! Too funny!!!!!!
