    dumb clear man ring(fog ring) question.

    Never use this ring and haven't faced it much.

    Does it lower the lock on? Something like what it's like in dark AL. If so might be a handy swap for your hornet/rtsr etc, when fighting dedicated bow/spear user.... If not oh well... It should.

    It doesn't reduce lock-on you can use chameleon for that, fog ring is good for
    sneaking up on opponents or just simply hiding from them, I put It on if I have
    to go away for a few minutes

    Doesn't do much except lower the aggro range in PvE and makes you surprisingly difficult to see with the naked eye by a human player, but only if you're the host and not a phantom, because your armor will blend better and a color aura is easy to distinguish.

    Use it as a host in the forest, in fact, look at Shiva's ninja and you'll notice that he isn't entirely easy to see despite you KNOW he is there. Same with all Fog PvE enemies.

    I honestly wish they'd never patched the fog ring. At the time it seemed OP but I honestly think its cause everyone knew so little of pvp. I wish they'd patch it back in tbh.

    no way, not even if it's a ring slot.
    fighting a fog user completely changed the core gameplay, made certain tactics that would RELY on lock on useless and promoted simple backstabbing techniques.
    stupid idea on froms part and barely any drawbacks to it.

    chameleon on the other hand is more than fair.

    honestly, i think it should make the player fully invisible after lock on range. none of this sort of lock on stuff, either you see them or you don't.

    would make long range builds more viable and open arenas much more interesting.

    Oh God. Imagine chasing a RoF user. With your same speed, he would ALWAYS be outside of your visibility range. This way, you could not ever hunt him (as you can not follow someone invisible, because you do not know which direction he is going).

    make it like the thief ring in demons souls, the wearer is invisible to players outside a certain distance but aura's from other effects can still be seen (like grass crest or pw)

    exactly. i liked it more in that game for phantoms because it forced them to decide between getting caught with 50% hp or losing some of their damage... that or they'd have to admit the gigs up and drop the ring on the spot.

    would still transfer over to dks nicely tho, with the advent of mobility rings and one that breaks when taken off. probably not possible to do now tho.
