Does this sound like a cheap build?

I was tooling around and eventually decided this might be a good pvp build. Even though I've played since the game first came out, I'm still far from good at PVP. However, even this being the case I still want to be seen as fair, and so that's my question, is this a fair build?

No GSOA build is ever cheap. Your build is the definition of "uncheap."

Also, with your INT Velka's Talisman would do more for you than the Canvas Talisman.

Easily a fair build, although try to hit 76 poise rather than 74 as elsewise you have a bunch of wasted poise. Also the true greatsword of artorias is a crap pvp weapon, trust me Im currently using it. Switch to the cursed version.

Thanks to both replies, but two things: one, WDTPD lives in the exact same area as me :] and for the poise what do you recommend I do to up it those two points?

Switch Elite Knight Leggings to regular Knight Leggings.

Add a knight helm and you're at 76 poise. Or a royal helm if you want to look more cool

Edit: Or what wdtpd said. So basically, replace any elite knight piece with a knight piece.

I doubt you will have time to cast that heal miracle. It's extremely risky move since you can be badly punished for trying it. I recommend replacing it with something else. Or you could have only 16 attunement and put those three points to vitality which is quite low at the moment.

Artorias sword builds are never cheap. The fact that you have to sacrifice vitality and endurance for the sword to be somewhat viable at 120 makes is a more skilled build to use.

Try this, weapon buffs don't work on Artoria's Sword so this version gives you a bit more vitality.


I made an artorias build, it ended up capping off at 256 or so. It was a beast, but at sl 256 everyone's a beast.

The sword was clearly made for higher soul levels, as no one can get full use out of it at 120 and lower.

Ok, so you said I can't buff the sword? If so then I'm gunna switch the crystal magic weapon for either gravelord dance or magic shield, or something completely different, suggestions?

Its looking about as good as you can get for the sl you're aiming for. I'd recommend trading some intelligence for vitality.... and dare I say it I'd almost recommend grabbing one of the masks because your stats are kinda thin...

There is no cheap in combat. Only winning and losing.

Also for some reference this was my artorias build I used in the forest for a bit. Give or take a point here and there this is about what it was.

I'd invade as a darkwraith at the bridge before sif. It was quite entertaining.

TWoP by its self isn't cheap. GSoA builds at low soul levels aren't very powerful, since your stats are spread so thin. Be careful of your endurance and of parries.
