It's fast, does great damage and can hit through most shields, can stagger, and you can throw people off by using it around corners on them. Seriously, I owe my very first pvp win to catching an invader as he rounded the corner with a combustion, staggering him enough to G.Halberd him to death.

With certain builds you can two shot most players with it, stunlocking them with a push and hitting during the stagger to possibly even one shot them.
