I want to see some german lullabies. If theres anyway to turn that language into something non hardcore that would be it. On the other hand hardcore lullabies would be pretty awesome.

Depends on who you ask. A lot said yes, I never thought so. Just wear underwear that's cone shaped so your Johnson looks like a horn and sing through your nose and have half naked dancers on stage to distract everyone. That formula could win a few music awards

I would try to explain but YouTube or a google search would be better (seeing is the way to go). They're a band that's not universally known because of their music.

Maaaan, what the hell... Always everyone is like "German is that hardcore nazi language". A normal German does not talk like a Hitler clone :roll: , and even less do Austrians or Bavarians.

And believe it or not, "Ich liebe dich" can actually be considered romantic. :roll: And when we say that to our love we don't shout it down from a speakers desk wildly throwing our arms around and shiz. Just because you happen to pronounce it in a weird jaw breaking way because you're trying to read it with your swollen English tongue doesn't mean it's such a "hardcore" language. "Ich liebe dich" can be pronounced as just softly as you like.

Look at any Slavic language for example, those are far more "hardcore", some words sound almost like they are entirely built of consonants.

And btw I find it interesting that there are 2 German stereotypes, one is the full hardcore nazi Obersturmführer, the other one is the fat beer-soaked Bavarian in Lederhosen...

I know several Germans via exchange programs and I definitely don't buy into either stereotype. However, compared to the speech patterns of persons I've met from Spain, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Italy the speech is less fluid and that's the basis for the "hardcore" sound stereotype. From people I've heard speak German it's similar to English in that words appear to have more deliberate beginnings and endings. Compared to Latin based languages we're far more staccato in our speech. English might be more so in my opinion which is why it's also not a "romance" language. Although operas I've heard in both seem to suggest they can be if they try hard

Interesting story from this:
An exchange student from my high school is now living here and works as a nurse where I work. She was in a meeting where I had to discuss a law in ny which states that it's illegal to create Nazi symbols on someone else's property. She visibly shied away from the conversation. She's about as far from Nazi stereotypes as you can get

I feel sorry for a symbol. It was a nice symbol, until it was used by the Nazi Party.
