The best experience you've had on Dark souls

Despite all the griefers and bad players that have made our times bitter, there's always been some GREAT experiences while playing Dark souls.

Mines are.

1. Just when I got the red sign soapstone I was so excited I started dueling right away, I almost never won but before It became unplayable because of the jerks there, I fought a guy that easily gave me the most awesome fight I've had until now, We both bowed, then made joy and hurrah gestures before our fight, It was frigging long and some times we would stop to cheer on each other and to change our equipment, It was pure melee! no miracles or magic or anything!. in the end I lost but with a big smile on my face!.

2. Was my first time fighting the Four Kings, I needed some help so I summoned 2 guys to help me out, after disposing of a dark spirit we went to fight the Four Kings, I've got to say it was one of the most epic fights ever, I stayed at long range Throwing Great lighting Spears while the 2 phantoms used melee against the first king, After some time the king vanished and we put ourselves back to back while waiting for the next one to pop up.

I began doing some camera work to make it more epic.... and epic it was!. While the music began powering up I made the Hurrah gesture to which the 2 phantoms answered me with the joy gesture, we quickly disposed of each king while returning to our formation... geez... Dat Epic situation when you got a totally awesome invader or mates. :3 it make lordran go around! xD.

3. The Moment I reached The ash Lake, I mean I just when there because of the frigging great magic barrier miracle!. But it was harder than I thought! I didn't bring nice equipment and miracles!. I died 2 times but after lots of time I got there, I mean I heard of the ash lake before but I didn't thought It was so atmospheric! And of course Until that I didn't know of the AWESOME dragon covenant!. The music mesmerized me and it was.... man..... I can even say I almost made a manly tear go from my eye... THEN THE FREAKING HYDRA STARTLED ME DRY! XD.

4. When I slayed the Stray demon with the drake sword without knowing I could evade him behind him and ignoring the fact he was weak to bleeding..... LOL DA JOY AFTER THE HORROR!.

5. The battle with Gwyn.

I mean, I will always like the False King better cuz he was a frigging bad ***, It made just an AMAZING battle when I left Biorr fighting the blue dragon, I Could hear the explosions of the fight, the ground shaked while the dragon roared below the arena. I was frigging upset about biorr (cuz I like dat guy, xD he helped me tons with the penetrator) but I could only think about killing the false king in behalf of ostrava!. Least to say I killed him and was overjoyed when I encountered with Biorr and the Nexus.

But returning to the subject....

This battle.... was just FREAKING HARD, the beautiful music, atmosphere, DAT FLAMING SWORD. I lost several times to the old geezer before I noticed most of Gwyn's attacks can be stopped with one of the rock formations, I great combusted him after each failed grab on his behalf, then I switched to fire orbs until they were no more, I fire tempested him but missed him! only 4 more charges!. I switched to greater combustion mixed with quick sweeps of Quelagg's furysword, We we both at low health! NO MORE ESTUS! NO MORE GREAT COMBUSTION!. I could not attempt of slash him again, with dat low health.... My last ditch effort, FIRE TEMPEST!....... VICTORY ACHIEVED!!! I coudn't believe it..... xD.

6. The moment were I got my Dragon Torso Stone! :3 Epic DRAGON FORM FTW!.

7. Oh I forgot!! One time I placed a summon sign in Anor Londo! just were the 2nd bonfire is!. After a while I got summoned, we saluted each other and the host and I waited for another summon sign, Lots of time we waited indeed, but then another guy came in, we were ready for charging but I guess the host had to go have dinner because he moved no more, After time time waiting me and the other phantom began cheering each other and Jumping around like idiots, then I had the most brilliant idea EVER, I took of all of my armor and began hurrah and joy and rolling around with DAT BODY, the other phantom did the same and I LOLED, Then the host came in and attacked us LOL, then we charged in to kill slim and fatty!! :3

1 - Ash Lake. Such a magnificient place. I love the atmosphere, the hidden marvel-vibe, and of course the music.

2 - My first fight against a Balder Knight. Circling each other; attack, block, attack, sidestep, block, attack, etc. It just felt RIGHT. That was the moment I fell in love with the combat system.

3 - Sen's Fortress. Killed an invader using the traps, and ONLY THE TRAPS. Felt so rewarding.

The first time dark souls made me get the rush like demon's souls. When one of those dino leg things in lost izaliath jumped on me(I dropped my controller on the floor)

I never thought they would kick so strong D: and the fact that you loose HP every second in that stage didn't helped at all!. Even getting them to kick each other is hard!

1. I had a four way fist fight in the burg. Oh my god, the epicness. I already made a thread about that though, so I wont talk about that.

2. So, I am a Forest Hunter, and I was getting owned in 2v1s. Then, I see this guy, and lo and behold, he dosen't have a phantom! Ecstatic, I go over to him and bow. Then we procede to have a jolly good fight. After, I message him, and we friend eachother. There is still hope for the community!

3. Beating Gwyn. This was before I knew about parrying him, so I actually had to fight him the hard way. I don't know what it was, but after I defeated him for the first time, I was just so sad that my journey in Dark Souls was over. I cried a little bit (yes, I'm a really big nerd )

1. One day I decided I was going to stop running from Havel and actually kill him. I fought him dozens of times and got wooped, then finally after I had lost track of time and how many attempts I had made I beat him. I jumped up and down celebrating while my wife laughed at me. It was truly a glorious moment.

2. The first time I stumbled into the fight with the Moonlight Butterfly. It wasn't a hard fight thanks to my proficiency with the Longbow but the whole scene just left me awe struck. The setting, the music and the design of the butterfly just made a perfect moment.

3. Similar to #2, the fight with Sif was amazing. I never knew that fighting a giant wolf holding a greatsword in a graveyard while sad music played is something I would want to do in a video game but I'm grateful to FROM for it. Everything about that fight was executed perfectly.

4. The first time I had three Spirits of Vengeance invade me while gravelording. Being a GL has given me the best PvP experiences by far and there was nothing quite like actually inviting 3 SoVs into my world to do battle. I lost but it was still an epic moment.

These are all amazing moments I feel like most of us share.

Outside of the rush of first play jitters my fav moments are getting positive msgs from people after encounters.

Had a SoV invade my low level toon ( I like fighting the grief) and immediately slaughtered my white phantom. I allowed him to heal and we duked it out. I healed once which if I had not I would have lost.

Afterwards (for my second time) I get a message about my PSN which is my Souls forum username as well. Guy legitimately says "Your name is bad ***, I was worried when I invaded your world off the name. It should be the name of a boss in DS."

That one moment outweighs all my bad ones easily.

"you are being summoned..." easily my favorite moment was the first time I saw that. man was I nervous!

I just have to share this with you guys, I'm in SL 155 and I suddenly had the urge to use Wanderer attire + A Katana so I could mimic Kenshin Himura!

I was a little scared because it was my NG +++ And I was careless so the attire wasn't upgraded past 3 each piece, so I decided to make up for the loss using some defensive rings.

Anyways.

Almost as soon I as killed the two serpent guards at the entrance I got invaded.

My heart... Pouding.... could I destroy that invader? will he fight honorably? will he be a jerk? I was indeed.... anxious! My skills in PvP Were never that good! and even with elite knight Gear I would get ganked or TWOP'ed and soon destroyed...

I waited for him to show up.... so he did, I waited a bow, I got none. We fought!. First I used Arrows, no damage... but then.... I used the first trap of the fortress to take out 1000+ damage from him!. Then I went Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu on him only for lag to give me no damage, The Lag against proved to be his ally when he appeared right behind me with a lagstab!, Yet. it didn't kill me... Fire swooped on my body as he toss me about in the air. I prepared my last stance. I recieved no honor from him, and soon the hitokiri within awakened!, I slashed him a couple of times, dodge his moves, Then casted Wrath of the Gods on him!.

The Dark spirit was Vanquished!!

Definitely first time I fought Gwyn. I tried a million different ways to beat him before finally whittling his life down and getting a lucky parry on the jumping hit that would have killed me. It was about 3am, controller hit the floor and i was literally doing the joy emote...woke my gf up lol. It was the onlu boss aside from O&S that actually challenged me on NG.

Anor Londo, NG+, i had just gotten inside the cathedral when a Dark Moon had invaded me, I was pissed at first cause i hadnt opened the shortcut and woulda had to start back at the solaire bonfire, but it soon became my most fav pvp ever. dude was BEEFED on vit and bare fisting it while i tried to roflstomp him with my upgraded fire claymore, he parried me constantly, id get him to the edge and hed heal...finally lag gave me an edge and i got him, but it was the funnest fight ever.

Killing my first invader, then doing the "well what is it" gesture. The win and the hate mail was all rewarding.
