How to Run past Hellkite draogon?

I really don't know how to do it. The only times I've did it it's because the dragon glichted and disappeared or because a good invader came and opened the gate from the other side. So.... any suggestions? Killing him it's not an option, I'm slvl 12 with this toon.

Go to the top of the steps without triggering him to breath fire, shoot him with an arrow. When he starts to fly down (make sure he's coming down sometimes he'll just sit up there and breath fire at u) and just run past him, by the time he lands u should be just infront of him or under him. He pretty much always does a fire breath in the direction he's facing when he lands and by that time u should be behind him.

Get up the ladder from the bonfire and wait for him to breathe fire the first time. All foes on the bridge will. As soon as he stops attacking, cross the bridge to the other side and wait behind the wall. Dont stay out of his sight, appear a lil' bit then go behind the wall. Eventually, he'll stop breathing fire and will go down the bridge, then you run between his legs like there's no tomorrow and light the bonfire, the dragon will disappear. (he'll appear again if you stay a lil' while on the bridge).

I don't know why, but the dragon went down to the bridge and then killed all the hollows with melee attacks. Then he died and I got 10000 souls lol.

Lucky smiles at us sometimes on this game. Yesterday I got invaded by someone that was clearly away from the controller. Guy invaded, stood still for about three minutes, I approached him, gestured, ran around him, nothing. Once I had enough of it, bang, killed him and got over 80k souls.

Run past him? I'd like to know how to kill the basterd...

I'm SL 65-70

I tried arrows but it was going to take forever because when you shoot him you have to roll down the stairs otherwise you get hit by fire

Was using Black Bow of Pharis, standard arrow

If this is the only way I'll have to upgrade the bow and buy the strongest arrows

Yeah I would also know a good strategy to kill him that does not use arrows. At least that way my high level characters can kill him.

Hylian, once you've got a decent amount of stats what you'll want to do is trigger his landing on the bridge, then run between, or around his legs as though you were attempting to get to the bonfire. From there strike his legs and make your way back to the staircase to repeat this. That's the safest method I've come across thus far.

He is easy to kill actually, you only need a strong weapon to do so, like a lightning claymore +5, get under him holding weapon with both hands and hit him non-stop... you might die once or twice, but it works fine! i just killed him with my SL 2 pyro =D

dragonslayer bow left from the rats entrance , 20 arrows most no other way tried though
to run past him equip first your best flame resistance equipment you're gonna burn once for sure

I started a new game on Saturday morning and summoned a phantom just after speaking with Solaire for the first time - bearing in mind I'm maybe SL12, just killed the first demon so was very lucky to find a sign on the ground in front of the door which lets you get to the bottom of the burg!

Sp... The phantom rocks up with a halberd - lightning i think - follows me across the bridge towards the hellkite - I veer right and head down the stairs to avoid the fire and to get the tail, only to get the message saying I just got the drake sword! Hit X, turn around, onto the staircase, head up, lean the right joystick over to swing the camera angle right to face the dragon, and ... lo and behold see my phantom doing a sweeping jump attack, hits the the thing and it just goes SPLAT! 10,000 souls thank you very much! Then I banished him cos he was too good! Lol!

This is how I do it, but you have to time it correctly. As soon as he leave the wall, start running, otherwise he will kill you. I did this with SL1 several times.

similarly, you can go to his left. i don't have any trouble using this lane.
