What route should i follow with these weapons ?

Just curious if im wasting material/souls following these routes.

-Zweihander +15 (CMW) vs Lightning +5 ? (not sure which is better)

-Man Serpent GS +15 (CMW)

-Balder side sword enchanted +5

-Claymore Enchanted +5

-Murakamo Enchanted +5

-Uchi Lightning +5

-Estoc Lightning +5

-Greatsword +15 (CMW) vs Lightning +5 ? (not sure which is better)

-Great Scythe Enchanted +5

These are the weapns i want to alternate around with this build, are these solid routes to follow in upgrading ? I dont wanna bother with chaos, mainly because its too much of a hassel to get to vamos, but if i have the required materials to max it out in one trip then i will.

Also is going crystal a good idea ?

Anything but the Lightning Zwei.

ill obviously make use of more dex based weapons but probably follow similar routes.

Is it a good idea to invest in occult for pvp or is (insert weapon name +15)+DMB/Sun light blade more effective ?

most thigns with a buff are generally more powerfull causeyou get the stat scalnig, aswell as the increase from the buff, but elemental weapons the dmage is constant, just depends if you wanna use minimal points the use the weapons one handed then elemantal is the path you should take, but im biased towards pure weapons without buffs

Just want to point out that once the bridges are turned it is literally like a one minute trip from firelink to vamos....

Well i just wanted to keep lementals just in case my buff runs out

kif you have teh stats +15 weapons are alot more powerful then elemental ones, and teh buff is just extra damage, its personal choice though really

and what about enchated/occult ?

guess lightning is out of the question now, and everyone seems to have high fire def, so i wont waste time with that

i have a faith/tr build and i have a lot of occult weapons and they're ok, youre better off buffing. the only ones that hit hard are the clubs.

Your dex/faith can get insane with +15 and lemon buff.

So +15 and buffs are the way to go i take it ?

its personal preference mate what would you prefer to use, tbh buffs are very good if you can get them off withotu the otehr player hitting you first, and yeah ive stopped using buffs now, they was a crutch that i used waaaaay to much, having more fun now, im not saying dont buff, buff away im jsut saying ive stopped using them as much,

Buffs are the way to go for pure power absolutely. However, you'll have a time limit and like billy said, it depends on if you have time to use it. I can't really answer for most weapons paths compared to +15 but I do have a fully upgraded chaos version of my weapon of choice and the +15 is on par with it even when I have the humanity to back up the chaos version.

pure damage is what it is PURE damage, you will have to consult Blaine on the stats side but i think elemtnal weaons damage is split between someones fire and physcial defense, so even if the AR of chaos weapon is higher, ull do more dmage with a pure weapon

That's how it works. That's why I always advise people to never go elemental with bows. They're low damage (comparably speaking) already and slow compared to a lot of melee weapons. When you split the damage it looks better for total but the reality is never good. My first game I was loving my long bow and upgraded it to +5. Then I found Rickert and said "I can add magic damage? That'll show those hollow punks." After the dramatic decrease in damage I was pretty upset I used my only long bow for that garbage.

but if occult isnt worth it on my faith build what should i go with excluding lightning/fire ?

If you want consistent damage occult should be fine for pvp. like any soothe path fire pve. Sine things will be weak against it, others won't. If you want consistent across everything then +15 and buffs when you wanna unleash hell. You could actually even use the faithbased catalyst and use crystal magic weapon which is less powerful but gives more casts.
