It may be a miracle available through modding, like the elite cleric set is.

Re: Hidden/scrapped miracle?
This has been known since the textdumps surfaced. There are other removed items as well, with descriptions more or less intact, the Affidavit and Lift Chamber Key also have icons. We also learned from interviews and concept art that a whole world was dropped because it didn't work out as planned
Quick list of removed items:
Black Eye Orb:
Invade the world of the traitor Shiva.
Invade the world of Shiva, and subdue him to reclaim the Blade of Chaos.
But the Black Eye has lost its focus, and its powers waver timorously. Where could the traitor Shiva be?
Affidavit:
Slip sold by bishop of Velka, Goddess of Sin
Annul a covenant without committing sin
A covenant is a most sacred union, normally not subject to negotiation, but when circumstances require it, even Goddess Velka will make an exception.
Lift Chamber Key:
Key opening the lift leading to New Londo ruins in the basement of Firelink Shrine.
The ruins of New Londo were blocked off, for the cursed ghosts posed danger to life and spirit, and the legends speak of a terrible Dark which was sealed away.
Ring of Condemnation:
This black diamond ring is granted to those who enter a Covenant with Velka, the Goddess of Sin. It automatically counterattacks when its wearer inflicts sustained damage.
Velka the Goddess of Sin is an eccentric witch versed in various secret rites, an (description incomplete)
Ring of Blind Ghosts:
This ring belonged to the seal guardian of New Londo. It prevents its wearer's discovery by cursed ghosts. There were once three guardians of the seal, but two of them tired of their eternal task, and left New Londo long ago.
Ring of Displacement:
The ring of a lost miracle of New Londo. This ring takes damage in place of its wearer, but has a fixed chance of breaking.
As evidenced by this ring, the culture of New Londo was unique, and its flooding is widely considered to be a great loss.
Escape Death:
Lost miracle, foreign to the Way of White
While active, no losses incurred upon death
The Way of White recognizes death itself, but admonishes the Undead. It is for this very reason that this miracle was lost.

That explains a lot about why Ingward isn't attacked by Ghosts.

Re: Hidden/scrapped miracle?
It seems like a lot of those is in some way related to New Londo. I wonder if there was originally going to be another area for us to access down there? It's a shame too, atmosphere wise New Londo is probably my favorite area in the game. Definitely sounds like we missed out on a Velka related covenant too.

They would take out the lift chamber key. Definitely a troll move. For those who have seen the "Dark Souls General" video, you all know what I mean.

Ring of Condemnation interests me the most. They deliberately removed part of the description...

Re: Hidden/scrapped miracle?
Probably because without her covenant in game its story aspect was no longer relevant/removed with the covenant.

Re: Hidden/scrapped miracle?
escape death would always be attuned if it ended up in the final game, specially with crappy cmaera angles which is what kills me most of the time.

Re: Hidden/scrapped miracle?
wow seriously if this was in the game it would be YET ANOTHER super powerful miracle. im sorry but was from even thinking about balance when they created darkmoon blade cove and miracles. Not only does DMB covenant have access to the most powerful spells in the game they can invade lower lvls......i think they did this to make some savvy point of how the "good guys" can become evil themselves. its lame lol.

Re: Hidden/scrapped miracle?
It was their way of trying to put a Second Chance style miracle in wasn't it? In the end I guess Second Chance can never be balanced though

dude second chance was the worse miracle in demon's i never used myself and it was so annoying to finally killing someone then have then revive, most fights in demon's came down to who had seconds chance or who timed their grassing better, really lame.

How much Demon's Souls PvP did you do exactly? Second Chance was parallel to the DWGR in terms of the "if you're gonna PvP seriously, you need to use this" mentality, and grassing is the equivalent of using Estus. If you were in some weird PvP scene where people didn't use second chance and spammed grasses then you didn't really experience true Demon's Souls PvP. At it's prime, it was like the entire Demon's Souls community was part of Fight Club

Re: Hidden/scrapped miracle?
Except, this isn't Demons Souls anymore. The series has taken off and now has a wider userbase and as such, more assholes. Can you imagine it being fair if you invade 3 Min/maxers and have to kill them over, and over, and over again? While you will get OHKed easily.
I'm glad they didnt add this. (If it was restricted to PvE I would love it)

i actually did a lot of pvp, and rarely did i see someone that didnt grass or had second chance. i personally tried not to grass unless they did, i mean it was fun bbt it gets so boring when fights last forever and like a said it really did come to who times their grassing better, just like dark souls with bs, it comes down to who can abuse the lag to bs your opponent.

Well then I must be the unique one. I am a man with no second chance, no flipping ring.
Besides... I have a better time crushing flippers with my block. Smack!

Covenant of Velka!!!! Amazing.... Why did they have to scrap all that?
