I don't know about you guys, but I find this weapon incredibly difficult to parry (happens with Ultra Greatswords and Greatswords too, I dont know why because they are the easiest to parry). I guess is its random, slow swing motion. Should I parry before the swing or mid swing?

Re: How to parry BKGA??
With BKGA setup parry - Hit the parry as soon as the dude hits your shield If i remember correctly - or just look at their shoulder and hit l2 as soon as you see their shoulder move.

Re: How to parry BKGA??
Thats so weird... I find the BKGA one of the easiest weapons to parry.
Regardless, try to set-up parry. Wait for them to hit your shield, wait maybe a split second, then parry. You should usually get it.

Re: How to parry BKGA??
any decent player using a bkga isnt going to attack into your shield. they will get quick 1shots in unless they get **** and think they can stunlock you. i really suggest setting up friendly duels with people and using base lvl weapons that your having trouble with and practice parrys, until your pro i need to practice a bit too. if you play pve a lot it can make you rusty, cause pve and pvp parry times are different.

Re: How to parry BKGA??
i find it easier to blind parry it but since most people that use the bkga do nothing but bs it is hard to parry, only thing you can do is bs them back.

yea if you try and blind parry you get BSed by them 99% the time.
easiest way might be to get enough poise and tank the first hit, no shield, if they hit you once they might be more willing to swing agian.

Re: How to parry BKGA??
I use the heater shield which has a fast parry recovery time so if i miss the blind parry i still have a chance to roll away before getting backstabbed.

They're some of the easiest to parry in my experience. If I see R1 spam I setup parry. Just wait a little longer to do it than you would with other weapons.

^This, i started using the heater shield on my newest darkwraith and i couldnt believe how much more parrys im getting now! and as im using low poise the fast recovery saved my behind a good couple of times so i had a chance to roll away.
Also, i think mr Peeve got a nice video on youtube on how to parry the bkga, check it out!

yeah. not a ton but I've gotten whopped by the odd clever bkga user.BLA1NE wrote:There are decent players using the bkga?FruitPunchNinja wrote:any decent player using a bkga isnt going to attack into your shield.
Though I agree with fruit, dead angleing is so easy with it in 1h parrying is seriously risky. 500 hp failure penalties arn't really my thing
