You gonna buy the console or just the game? Still PS3 because I never had a Xbox of my own.

PS3. PSN is free, and I had 3 Xboxes die on me. Eff that.

I hear the community is better on PSN, and I will say this:

I made a low level forest hunter on my XBOX, and a similar character on my friends PS3. The results confirmed that theory, by a large degree.

From someone who played on both 360 & Ps3 i must say Ps3 has a bigger community, better PvP / Co-Op and you can have a chat room on the Ps3 which is a great addition to the game (not sure if 360 can have this).

Also PSN is free but it has more issues than Xbox Live (disconnects ect) not a big deal rly.
I also find the Ps3 to be a more durable console.

For Dark Souls go with PS3. For any other online multiplayer experiences go with XBOX360.

Yeah I would say ps3 the console is incredibly durable. I'm a trucker and my ps3 went with me, it spent 500k+ miles in a cubby hole bouncing down the highway and still runs like a champ. Also getting Demon's Souls and a larger community is an added bonus.

For Dark Souls, PS3, you get the community that came with Demons Souls.
The debate with the consoles, I traded my xbox in because it just collected dust. The big point for me is xbox has yet to even compete with the fact that with a ps3 you also get a top of the line blueray player and it also is 3d movie capable if you have a 3d tv.

PS3, and you don't get many modders/hackers here, and there's lots of activity at the right SLs.

Xbox has modders and hackers.

They're junk, and my PS3 has never broken.

It's the old fat one that sounds like a jet engine, but it still works great.

I was born with a PS1 at me the minute I could hold something with my hands. I have grown with that system, although I have played other consoles. The PS system's controllers, except the earliest one (the one without an analog stick) were always superior, with its simple and easily access buttons... the worst controller being the N64.

The PS3 still lives up to it, although it is a bit lighter, with the only real change being a new button (PS Button at the center), and a change of the back R/L buttons (now their more flappy, which makes it better for the fingers).

The console in general I like as well. Looking in an Xbox for something is usually hell, and the system is nonetheless very active, but the software is very... off, for a lack of a better word. Of course they have more games, but the PS3 usually has similar games (like God of War and Resistance... although different mechanics and such, they seem to be the PS3/Xbox separation par of sorts, being that both were designed to compete against the other). Of course, hacking in Xbox and modifications are easier... although PS3 has had their shares of it, and usually when it does happen is a little harder to remove.

Since Dark Souls has a better community in PSN than Xbox Live, it seems logical to go with the PS3. As well, the online system of PS3 is indeed cheap, with the only expense being paying your internet bill (which you do with Xbox anyway, as well as their price of playing as a gold)

PS3. Bigger from Dark souls point of view, you get demon's, online costs squat and you're free from two of the steaming piles of shooter **** because halo and Gears of war are xbox exclusives!

Gears doesn't appeal to me, but I won't pass judgement on it because I haven't played it. I love Halo though. Also, were Skyrims launch issues common?

I'm pretty sure skyrim's issues on PS3 were worse because Skyrim was made primarily for PC and xbox (easy convert) then they have to get it onto bluray for PS3.. I don't blame them too much and I got it after the patches and 100 hours in (not my file, i didnt play it that long) still works fine except for occasional vegetable hanging in the air.

The reason I hate Halo is because it's a space kinda shooter, by all rights it should have cool interesting guns like alien style freezing guns and things that shoot out lightning and fire or soundwaves and stuff, but it's just the usual shotgun/sniper/assault rifle/pistol mash ever other shooter has :|

For me, no. For my friend, yes.

Let's put it this way: he can't go in water, or the PS3 freezes. Me? Perfectly fine.

Of course, Bethesda games are nutorious for problems, and is usually not the same for everyone.

As for Xbox games... I played all but the third gear, and all but the first halo. Why? Co-Op. I played multiplayer on Left for Dead, and Halo... I kicked ***, man. Rocket? No, Rifle and pistol with melee. Guys with guns? Kill with tongue at the very start of the door. Let's put it this way... On left four dead, I killed all but one survivor with a smoker that never died until the fourth one... A hunter killed him. I did not knock him down, they actually die.

Xbox games are easy, I said it. It may be because my friends buy easy games, but it is how it is. Of course, I played left four dead on expert... Fun.

Although, I have a problem now... With the witches, anyways. Similar to the bridge Wyvern, except I hear her voice even if she isn't around. Kill, kill, kill...
