Why the Forest hunters deserved to be farmed

we are all familiar with the forest hunters pvp tactics (1v2, or looking for npc help) willingness to run and go through every enemy in the lvl for backup but thats not the point the point is I've recently noticed an increase in the use of Tranquil walk of peace to Wrath of God among invading forest hunters guess thats the new thing

awful defeats the purpose of pvp, fights involving those spells to me are null an void as far as any respect an what do forest hunters truthfully have to gain from such wins?? nothing which is why they're the biggest *** in the game which is also why I have a high sl i leave in the forest to Whoop they *** just because

but really i kno I'm not the only one who feels like this haha anyone could get those spells an win requires no skill and besides who wants to follow around the fat cat from alice an wonderland

this is why they deserve to be farmed not to mention the fact that wen i rely DO need to kill sif the bastards keep killing my help tsk tsk

In order to kill the monsters they became them themselves. From your post it seems to me you have not been a forest hunter yourself. When you get the chance try it. You will find that over 50% of the hosts you find do the exact same things you are complaining about to the hunters. No I am not endorsing tjhose tactics nor do i ever use them I am simply stating that ts a two way street and you need to see both sides of the story.

First of all, you are one hundered percent right. Forest Hunters are just as dishonerable as the people that they face. I know because I am a Forest Hunter.

But three things. One, is that every covenant is dishonerable. There are only a small amount of people that fight fair in every covenant, so why should the Forest Hunters be any exception? Second. Please don't post this stuff here. I know you are angry, and have every right to be, but by posting this, you will make more people angry, and hurt some feelings. And third. Everything you say was fine, until that insult about Alvina at the end. Please don't try to bait people into getting into aurguments. By insulting the leader, Alvina, you are just asking for an aurgument, and consequently, hurting feelings.

The forest is the only "anything goes" PvP area in the game, so everybody, hunter or host, has every right to do as they please. Your totally in your right to farm the tree huggers and they can gank you in to oblivion if they so choose

i enjoy running into the forest on my sl 48 darkwraith. and then one shotting people with my +5 chaos uchigatana/hornets ring. why do i enjoy it? because the same deals been done to me a thousand times on my forest hunters and it feels good to show those 3v1 gankers that i can get just as dirty as them. would i enjoy it if people tried just having fun and not backstab fishing? of course i would! but since no one wants to, ill just do the same thing back to them. fair is fair is fair...is fair!

Just thought i'd post my opinion here. xD being part of forest covenant it really is quite opposite.
Most of the time when i get summoned by cat its pretty much always a host and his phantom buddies wearing full giants and pinwheel masks, ninja flipping with eaither a black knight greataxe or some other fast swinging weapon, while spamming wrath of gods.
Over half time i'm being backstabbed from sides, front xD so yeah its pretty brutal being part of the covenant
But this is on the 360, i dunno what things are like ps3 wise.

the whole point of the forest and dark anor londo is to get gangbanged, that's how the devs made it, and clearly you've never been a forest hunter because they get 3v1 all the time so they have to use tactics like that to better their odds.

Its just as bad on ps3 thoughh maybe even worse because there are more players so you get summoned and ganked to death more often.

Those who farm the forest are every bit as bad, in fact I think they are worse.

The forest farmers/gankers have been a blight on PvP since the start.

I invaded in Dark Anor about 50 times and got ganked every single time. In the last few days I've invaded in the forest a few hundred times, and I have not encountered a single host willing to fight 100% fair. Either they bs fish, gank, lagstab, spam spells, heal, or do all of the above. I guess it's kind of a chicken and egg scenario, but hosts are always douchebags in the forest. ALWAYS.

You dont see as many dark farmers because DMs have an orb which gives them other options. Therefore the total percentage of DMs using the ring is not 100% while the number of hunters using their ring is 100% thus more farmers choose the forest. The hunters are only bad because of the farmers.

no actions can justify farming, espeshly when your constnatly getting gangbanged eitha protecting dark anor londo or the forest, if you dont like how the covenant has evolved to deal with this, then dont go there, pvp at the kiln? and tbh WOG can be rolled through with practice

Without the farmers, there wouldin't be anything to do. You'd have random schlubs walking in and getting murdered by like 2-3 invaders. Which wouldin't make it fair for the hosting players.

it really rustle my jimmies when i invade the forest as a DW and see 1-2 blues fighting Host and 2 sunbros so i go make it "even" just to be BSed by a forest hunter.

It doesn't even take a lot of practice honestly, just roll as they cast it...although twop does not let you roll obviously. So just run away, or cast your own wog, or fire tempest.

Twop has a very short duration and wog can be dodged with ease. You say they are no skill spells, but they also take very little skill to counter....

....just saying.

Hunters don't just pop up in groups of 2-3. Mostly theres waits of a few minutes between invasions. And it would not be boring, it would be fun and fair.
@Glute dont take it too hard. I once accidently BSed a DW helper when he ran in front of me while I was fighting the host.

I love TWoP, when the red phantom comes a running, I cast it, the smart ones turn around and go the other way, the dumb ones derp right into it, and I just go to town on them.

lol yea it happens on accident some time, but i remebe one time i was chasing the host around throwing lyods tailsmen at him so he cant flask chug, and the forest guy run away from the sun bros right at me and BSed me.

though i have killed my fair share of forest blues when i invade, i always help who is out numbered if i see it is host vs 2 forest invaders i will attack the invaders. (that is half the fun of invading the forest because 90% of the time some one is out numbered and i get to even the odds)

Just kidding, of course. When someone casts TWoP, I step right into it, and jam the parry button. It usually works, and keeps the remaining person on their toes.
