Making a divine +10 weapon is a good option.
However, you'll wanna consider as a weapon to fight bosses with or PvP a +15 weapon buffed is also very good, it's just what you prefer.

Dragonslayer spear (Ornstien's spear) is great. It has long range, scales with Faith and Dex pretty well, and has that lightning effect, which is pretty cool. But really, any divine or occult weapon will do.

A normal weapon +15 buffed with Sunlight Blade or Darkmoon Blade. Occult or Divine weapon as backup, depending on your Faith.

I'm not too worried about PvP, I've played Dark Souls all the way through twice and haven't really participated in PvP.
Now I really want that Spear, though I've only ever beaten Ornstein and Smough by killing Ornstein first.
EDIT: How long does the Sunlight Blade buff last? Until you die?

blessed great axe!!..... oh wait. Uh whatever weapon you're good with if str or dex arn't an object, big weapons in particular benefit from faith, as wog is awesome for buying space to swing them, but dmb kats or rapiers can be ferocious.

It helps to have a phantom buddy along if you're trying for a specific soul in that fight. Usually when I'm summoning for that fight I shoot my summon a message when they're spawning with just something simple like "O 1st." Even summons who don't speak the same language generally understand if you keep it simple. If you have someone to distract one of them while you kill the other it can make things a lot easier. Divide and conquer.

I so miss my DeS faith build. I had it fine tuned to be perfect for me. But, I'd go +15 with DMB buff. It will be much more powerful than any other weapon.
If you don't want to buff, then Divine might outdamage +15, but it will be close. You'd have to check which is more powerful there.

Oh I forgot to mention, I can't use Darkmoon Blade because I plan to stick with the Warrior of Sunlight covenant.
And it can be any 15+ weapon I can buff? Because I think it would be fun to use a greatsword.

Do Sunlight Blade then, or do another run through and join the Darkmoon Covenant (unless you want to stay a Sunbro).

blessed Meat Cleaver! that thing destroys people(crappy reach though). getting back on topic, if you want something good for pve than i reccomend the mace+15 with slb, that thing destroys bosses, it's actually really fast if you connect with every hit which shouldnt be a problem in pve, try it its one of my fave weapons in the game, also the pickaxe is right up there with it(not the warpick, reg pickaxe).
