I swear whenever I PvP it seems like 90-95% of the players are pure carbon copies of each other. Same loadout, same tactics, same usage of gestures, etc... It can all get pretty tiresome.

    Has anyone else encountered this?

I've seen alot of the generic flipping tanks in the forest. And honestly they're really easy to kill after the first 4 got me. Now its "oh hey, that build. le sigh, burnation to them"

    le sigh is right.

It's not even that they're all that hard, they're just boring to continually fight.

How to be a typical Dark Souls PvP'er:
    Pinwheel Mask
    Giant/Havel Armor
    Black Knight weapon
    Havel's Greatshield/Greatshield of Artorias
    Talisman - WOG + TWOP/Catalyst - CSS + HCSM
    Havel's Ring + DWGR

My Stoneknight Cosplay build has been getting a LOT of blood tonight. I'm surprised at how successful a Stone Greatsword is.

Personally I think most of them suffer from Storm Trooper Syndrome.

Even I host at Darkroot from time to time and give the hunters some peace of mind..... winking
It usually takes them so much time to bow, coz I guess they think some phantom is hiding somewhere for sure...

ive seen that setup waaay too many times in any area. nowadays if i see one of those and survive the initial wotg spam. i just run off to some random area in the woods and wait for them to kill themselves out of boredom.

Threads like this come along every so often and they do not add value to the forums. True, a lot of players use this equipment, but that does not mean it is not a legitimate build. There are probably members of this forum who use similar builds. This is just a game, and players can play the game in any manner in which they would like.

I uses giants armor somethimes but never the head
I must and need my onionhead or i will feel naked
Farmers or not its one of the best armors with high defence in the game.
So at some points if u can wear it, i wear it.

I think it's unfortunate that guys seem to all go for the effective over the stylish and unique. It takes away a lot of the character that the PVP in Dark Souls promised by having a lot of fight's become samey slug fests or poise BS contests...

One reason why I tired of Dark general PvP so quickly to be honest, hopefully in next souls game they will balance poise out and heavy armour out a little more so that you can't just put on 2 rings and have max mobility, poise and defense.

It'll be a learning curve just like which occurred with the change from grass healing and spell MP to limited numbers of both. I'm sure FROM will be able to fine tune this part of the game, after all only the first game they've tried something like poise to make heavy armours useful.
