    A Pleasant Surprise

Post by BackwardsBaboon on Sat Apr 21, 2012 1:39 am

Ok so yesterday morning after work I loaded up my sl 120 and walked out into the Undead Burg so I could wait to be invaded. I pulled out my bow & started clearing out the hollow warriors as I've done a thousand times before, when i see something I have never seen before in almost 7 months of playing this game. In fact, I was starting to think you were all trolling me and that these things did not actually exist. It was such a glorious sight that I damn near screamed with excitement! It was a g0ddamn black phantom hollow warrior!!!

I could not even bring myself to invade the gravelord, i just kept killing all the enemies and respawning them until someone else killed the GL. Once i saw the "disasters are gone" message i think i shed a tear because I fear that (being on xbox) it may never happen again!

Xbro here, and I know how you feel, I've never seen a black phantom enemy before. Gravelords over here are really lacking. Everyone is just using Giants and backstab fishing in the forest, no one cares to even enjoy the game sometimes. Though, a few people like Ser Isaac and SituationNormal are still fun to have around and play with.

Well why don't you guys become gravelords. or use a toon for gravelording? The gravelord army is always looking for new members.

If you know other gravelords we can all get together on occasion and curse each other and invade each other. If you guys are interested just go to the covenants section and join the gravesworn. You don't have to rank up if you don't want to but you can always check in to see what the gravelords are up to.

I have a gravelord toon I'm currently leveling up. I get maybe a couple invasions sometimes, but not many. Main place I do is the burg, but I have to wait till next playthrough to do that zone again.

Awesome! Proper Bow Keep that toon handy because I want to organize another gravelord weekend or day. If we all can we should just do one area every other week. hmmm I sense a poll coming :cyclops: ...

i love the bp enemies (with the exception of those 6 bp stone knights that appeared after i had finished a successful hunt in the forest) but sadly, i dont see enough bp enemies. i think it has to do with gravelording not really having a tangible benefit to either party really.

I agree with Mildred, they really did this forum very well! cheers

Barry, yes it is close to perfect IMO. If they could provide feedback to the gravelord that someone IS experiencing BP. This covenant would grow in popularity and with that more BPs...

I got GL'd in Anor Londo the other day for just the second time (in that location) in well over 1,000 hours. The BP phantoms there aren't too exciting compared to other places but I still sent the GL a note of thanks for cursing my world.

It's so exciting when you see that first BP. Well, unless it's at the Undead Parish and you just took the elevator up, in which case -it's so exciting when you ARE CLOBBERED BY that first BP.

My lvl 120 cleric tank (Virtanen) is a gravelord. I just don't really have that much time to play games. And when I do, It's always a choice between Battlefield 3, Dark Souls, Magic The Gathering, and Tekken 6.

    Dark souls rarely wins anymore.

I can understand your joy, I parried and riposted someone for the first time yesterday in PvP, did it again (Just didn't pull off the Riposte) the very next invasion too. I was ecstatic to say the least.
