    Unusual tactics Empty Unusual tactics

Post by Shkar Sat Apr 21, 2012 9:26 pm

I'm looking for unusual tactics to mess around with in PvP. I typically make my characters Forest Invaders, and I'm not that good, but I always tend to go for unusual tactics. So far, I have thought of the following tactics:

Using only poison throwing knifes/Dung Pies, and rolling around til they die.
Exclusively luring them towards monsters, and distracting them.
Using the Thorn set and only rolling into them.
Using Thorn leggings and Charred Ring and kicking them to death.

I will apply any strange theories you guys can come up with on my forest Invader who runs around with elemental Caestus, Havel's Pants, and the Pharis Hat. So if you see XBL gamertag: DeadlyHeretic, and he fits that description, be on the lookout.

if you do the thorn armor use the Mask of Child, Grass Crest shield, and Cloranthy ring so you are getting insane stamina regen.

i would also use 2 base level weak weapons coated in poison them also, or just use poison knifes.

Cloranthy Ring and the Flip Ring are the rings that character uses, but the idea of coating regular caestus in poison is a great idea.

you can only coat right hand weapons and you will want grass shield in left hand.

i would recommend using a base level Shotel just to bypass shields incase some one turtles

Iron flesh, golem's axe in right hand, crystal round shield in left hand, dragonslayer bow and a talisman for force. Invade somewhere that has lots of cliffs.

Heh, I may have to do that on my main, high level character. If I put him back in Darkwraiths I could invade people in Sen's, assuming there's a decent population there at 200+.

That being said, I think I may have my troll character (the one I described) invade some folks in the forest and just roll through all of their trees. That should weird them out enough to lend me a tactical advantage big grin

    Here's the setup

    Right Hand Primary: Avelyn
    Right Hand Secondary: Sniper Crossbow
    Left Hand Primary: Avelyn
    Left Hand Secondary: Bandit Dagger
    Armor: Full Hollow Bandit
    Ring 1: DWGR
Ring 2: Cloranthy Ring or Ring of Fog
Items: As man firebombs, black firebombs, and green blossoms as you can have.

Now, only use the dagger if the enemy gets close enough, because that is your combat knife. Shoot the avelyns in quick succession and keep the enemy at bay with your firebombs. Use the sniper crossbow to hit your enemy from afar, and if you want to be a specialist at stealth, use the ring of fog. Think of yourself as a soldier paying homage to the future.

That actually seems like a lot of fun. I may have to give that a try.

I've done that... took 15 minutes to kill the poor guy (I let him flask a couple times). By the end, I felt like a mean, mean person. So don't do this unless you're completely evil!

buff a straight sword hilt with slb and kill everyone?

fight only using weapons you don't have the stats to use? (if you have the str but not the dex you'll swing normally but bounce off on contact with a person)(had a pricsilla dagger fight in these circumstances)

fight using shields as weapons (has plunging attacks and the leap r2 move sounds cool)

wear the ninja suit head and invade peoples worlds dropping any armor piece close to conventional panties (underwear bandit giving gifts to all those without gf's:P )

^ had one of those invade me in sens, tried blocking the exit from the last set of swinging blades... poison arrows made him panic and back up into the arrow trap...

I've been using that first tactic using a parrying dagger. It would work well, with a bit of practice. I had been basically seeing if I could out DPS their Zweihander or whatever, the answer was no, for the most part. Stunlock sucks.

Still, the tactic was PHENOMENAL for the Four Kings. The only attacks that hit me was the grab attack, and I killed one or two before they got t off, even if they started right when I got there.

Anyway, keep the tactics comng you guys! These are great!
