I THINK you can drop them like regular items, but I'm not sure. For the tite slab, equip gold serpent ring and 10 humanity and look around in the great hollow for lizards.

You know the great hollow you access in blight town? There are planty of lizards in there and with high item find they may drop titanite slabs for you.
