Laurentius Cosplay PvP build.

I was thinking of doing a pure Pyromancer build, No faith or intelligence..

Now this is the problem, trying to think of were to put my stats.

I cannot think of were to put my stats, I know I at least want to have 6 spell slots, cause I'm gonna be missing a lot of fire balls.

Probably going to go with no shield for the most part, just a Pyro Glove in the main hand.

Any buffable weapon as my R2, I'll put pine resin on it, only pull it out if I'm out of Pyro Spells.

The weapon is mainly for looking cool before I die.

I was thinking 40 Vitality.

30 END? (Should I go higher, I don't know?)

However much ATT it takes to get 6 slots. Or more, since I'm not going for a good stat scaling weapon.

I have no idea what I'm going to do on this guy, but it may be interesting.

He's not going to be a combustion spammer though.

Most likely going to use FaP ring and the Wolf Ring.

Edit: As a weapon try using a Hand Axe, put some points on str.

Second edit: 20 End is enough, you'll be casting spells mainly.

I'm assuming since you can put SLB on the Dragon Bone Fist you can also put Pine Resin on it.

45 Dex for maximum casting speed. 40 Dex for maximum Hand Axe AR, buff with fire resin. 20 end is more than enough with FAP ring. Use spells of Carmina, as he was Laurentius's teacher, and Salaman, as he was Carmina's Master.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Dex casting speed.

Try to read all the descriptions of the Pyro Spells, I know Laurentius does not know about the Chaos spells, but he could have learned the ones from Salaman.

I've never attacked him, does he come at you with a Hand Axe?

Also if you change your mind about buffing with fire resin, change the Hand Axe for a Fire Hand Axe. You could use a Crystal Hand Axe, they can be purchased from Undead Merchant, so that you can have more AR + Buff.

Eh, I have a distaste for Crystal Weapons.. Not being able to repair them is a major turn off for me. They just seem like a waste.

I think he were trying to melee me once with an axe.

This, forgot the cracked shield. Use it for parries, be sure to show him in FC.

Also Pyromancy Flame +15, not the Ascended one, he didn't find Quelana.

Another thing I'll test if he is surprised (when he says what spectacular pyromancy) by Great Fireball and Great Combustion.

I mean, 40 Poise isn't bad, but if I get into a situation where I'm getting stunlocked I need to work on my dodging a bit more..

It's not going so well, level 34 joined the Forest Hunters to gain some levels..

The craziest thing happened right when I put on the ring I got instantly summoned..

Farmers....

So I start running, and dodging, and running, and dodging..

Now I'm hiding, and I've been hiding for the past 23 minutes..

My first Forest Hunter invasion on this character... not going so well.

They will not get my precious 3800 souls so easily..

I'll cheer you on from the sidelines.

I kind of wish I had more than a Hand Axe +5 and 8 Fire Balls..

Well, it is a setback. But, skill beats numbers every time.

Drag them to the mobs. I'd say catch them with a firestorm type on the bridge but yeah.

Poking weapons are great because they have no cooldown after attack, so you can roll away right after you attacked, which is very safe--especially when you have no poise. Also, since pyro takes no skill points, I figured I'd take that opportunity to pump Dex for the casting time. Then I figured I'd take advantage of both poking weapons and the pumped Dex by using the weapon that will give you the best range: the Pike.

The main idea behind the pike is to be able to poke people from so far away that they'll hesitate to get close to you, giving you some breathing room to cast your pyro. To enhance that, I decided to give him 15 Int to enchant the Pike with Greater Magic Weapon--give the pike a little extra edge! With the Dex scaling, and an extra 198 damage coming from the GMW, the Pike should do a good job of keeping opponents from getting too close to you.

I think the rest speaks for itself... Gives you 8 Attunment slots to work with, and 1 ring slot. For spells, I put: GMW, Great Combustion, Fire Surge, Great Fireball, Great Chaos Fireball, and Chaos Storm. I haven't put much thought into the spell selection, but it should be pretty good!

And I'm done for the night.. Horrible time trying to level through Forest PvP..

Only had that one farmer but all the other times each person only gave me like 700 souls.

Level 54, was going to get further but the evil Silver Knight Archers ruined my night.

I lied I wasn't done.

I leveled up to 65 with a massive jumble of stat points right now..

I learned that revenge is costly but great..

I spawned into the Painted World and was hit by the MLGS blast, then stunlocked to death..

Then I invaded the same person again and ran past them.

Did a little dance before the gate, got hit.

Ran and used a humanity.

Went back in, got hit.

Ran to the Spear Blobs and used another humanity.

Then circled behind the person and hit 'em with combustion.

Then the person circled around me and then I hit 'em with FireStorm.

Then the person tried to flask and I BSed him.

Still not dead, I finally finished him off with a running R1 attack..

For a massive 9k souls.

I just attacked Laurentius and he doesn't have a Hand Axe, he switched his Pyro Flame for only his fist lol!

Then I shall punch people.... With a Caestus.
