Possible Pinwheel Glitch?

Hey everyone, new on these forums. I just figured I'd post this because I couldn't find any other topics about this. Anyways I started a new character a while back, made Quelaag's Fury, went through the Catacombs and fought Pinwheel. I'm pretty sure (but not positive) that my finishing blow hit two Pinwheels right next to each other, and Quelaag's does a wide slash so I think that's what happened. When he died, I received both the Mother's and Child's mask.

Has anyone else had this happen? I would have rather gotten the Father's but two for one isn't a bad deal. I'm assuming this was a glitch, it doesn't make sense.

nah sometimes you get extra drops(example:gargoyals sometimes you get nothing or just shield/helm and sometimes you get both) no worries you can get the father mask still.

I once had a white titanite slab drop from one of the pinwheel clones. This was a suicide run off the start of the game so I had a +10 divine claymore by the time I was at Sens Fortress.
So a mask dropping is certainly possible.

Oh that makes more sense, thanks guys. I'd rather have gotten a White titanite Slab over the mask of the mother. Although getting two I'll still count myself lucky. And I just realized I can buy the Father's mask from Patches for cheap, so I'm happy now.

On gargoyle dropped it ALL for me once. Sadly I already had two or better of everything but I was like.....wow.....Gargoyle loot extravaganza

Yeah, I've gotten a full drop off the gargoyles too. It is glorious. Basically as far as I can tell any mob (including bosses) that can drop multiple items can drop any combination of them at a time, not just one at a time. You usually just get 1 thing because the odds of getting two items to drop each with a 5% drop rate are very low. Nonetheless I've also gotten basically a full balder set off the parish knights in one kill when I had the gold covetous ring on. You just need to get lucky enough to have each individual item hit its drop rate.

Wow that's pretty crazy, never realized how rare the drop rate for 2 masks at once could be. And I got the demon machete off the Capra Demon (boss), must be a lucky playthrough for me.
