Lower demon ruins

Okej so there seems to be an elevator in queelags domain thats supposed to take you down to the lower areas, BUT its not working for me... how can i get it to work? and is there no another way down there?
Just got whooped 3 times in a row by ceaseless, was pretty close the third try hehe.

One more question out of this topic, behind three blue drakes there's a large gate. How do i open it?

nvm and sry i just found out that u need to kill the firesage demon to unlock elevator. and it seems that i need to kill ceaseless to get any further-correct?

Any tips on killing ceaseless?

have you picked up the gold hemmed set yet? if you haven’t then you should pick it up and run to the fog gate. CD will follow you and make a jump so that he is only hanging on with his arm, you attack the arm a couple of times and he falls down and dies. if you’ve already picked up the set you could just run to the open area and back to the fog gate. hopefully he will follow you. this is kinda the "cheap" way to kill him if you don’t want to do it then just try to dodge his attacks and attack his arm while it is down.

the big gate opens to new londo ruins. you open it from the other side after you get the key from ingward. this will also "dry up" new londo allowing access to the lower part of it. you need the lordvessel for ingward to give you the key but you can also kill him for it

I arrow'd him to death from hiding in NG. In NG+ I decided to man up and melee him. His attacks are incredibly telegraphed and easier to avoid than expected. He's also easy to arrow

To get the elevator to work for lower DR, you have to kill the Firesage Demon. Then, you can take the shortcut.
