Getting pyromancer flame

On my regular new game, I have not freed laurentius, did not even opened the depths. I however went down the daughter of chaos and talk to her servant but he did not give me a flame.

How will I get one if I dont want to open the depths ?

You have to say you're a new servant when talking to Eingyi for the first time. If you dont have a pyromancy flame, then he'll share one with you through the talk option.

I said I'm a new servant.
Hell, I even betrayed my covenant to join the chaos one, got rewarded with Great Chaos Fireball, and still no pyro flame to cast it...

saying you are a new servant will just make him move aside and let you pass

to get the flame you have to get infected with egg

Go kick one of the egg dudes in front of Quelaag's room. Let him infect you with an egg. You will know you're infected when your character starts scratching their head. After a minute, you will get an egg on your head. Then go talk to Eingyi. He will be your buddy.
