Weird Glitch?

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, and I hope it's not inappropriate. I started a new game (SL 11), and was helping with the bell gargoyles, when I got summoned by a character wearing Catarina gear and using some weird bow & arrow? I got 10 souls every 1-2 seconds while he was killing the armored boar. He shot an arrow, got some souls, and then hacked away at the boar with the gargoyle tail axe.

So we head on up to the gargoyles and the cut scene plays through, but as soon as you can start actually fighting them, the first one is dead, soon after, the second one dies. I know part of it was surely the unspeakable glitch but has anyone ever encountered a glitch where the bosses die immediately after entering the fog gate? I'm on PS3.

I think that was serious lag.

It looked like he didn't even move. When I asked how he did it, he said something along the lines of it's not how I did it, it's the act of another person... no idea. thanks for the reply

Huh, I'd assume he had a second summons/glitcher who positioned himself at the far end of the roof before the host initiated the cut scene, and the guy one-shot the first one from behind, but you'd probably have noticed another shiny guy walking around, so I have no clue.

Invis glitch with summons plus serious lag, chance things really.

It was definitely the weirdest session I have ever been in. The invisible glitch could be a possibility because I heard some barrels breaking while we were up around where Lautrec is, and all the other enemies were dead. Thanks for the input everyone.
