Build ideas you've thought up...then realized they were really bad ideas

We've all done it. You just had a really interesting and fun sounding idea for a new build, and after a few minutes of thinking on it realized that this build should really not be done due to some obvious reason you somehow missed :|

For instance, this glass cannon masochist build I just thought of. A vit/dex build that uses Power Within while wielding a Chaos Blade and Lifehunt Scythe (dual wielding of course...blocking is only for those who are afraid of pain!), using Dung Pies for ranged harassment. Obviously killing yourself faster than your opponent can doesn't seem like an optimal strategy lol (though it would probably still be really fun )

99 Resilience so I would take no damage from the attacks of my enemies!

Throw on the red and blue tearstone rings and the last 10 secs of the fight would be real intresting fun. Might be willing to try it out.

Put on full havels and just stand there unleashing spells till you die, make a point of not moving off your starting point. HCSM, WDB, SSpear, WoG and maybe iron flesh.

I had a VIT/END/FTH build idea called TARKULAIRE!
Actually it's my main character, pretty fun.

I made an Artorias tank build for SL120....

Massive error, weak and only 30 vit/end. Shocking build xD

A build with stats up to 20 (vit, str, dex, end) and sl capped at 40. Eventually I realized it was a miniature version of my Main, just with more rounded stats. The moment of realization was when I saw that him and my main had the exact same armor and rings equipped...

Try for over 100% weight limit lol and fire spells till they move in... Then wog lol

tried a Paladin build and it's TEDIOUS. the end goal was to wear full Paladin gear and enough strength to 1 hand the Grant. it just feels like i'm dumping points into faith for a pay off waaaaay down the road.

^ My first Faith/Paladin build was one of my worst characters :\

My very first character was a faliure I tried making a faith/pyro build but I put so little points into my melee skils that I couldn't kill much of anything (my sorcerer does more melee damage and he only has 20 strength and 20 dexterity and 60 intelligence)

I think I screwed my Priscilla toon. I thought that she would be based of a Dex/Int hybrid, until I saw her Dagger does Occult Damage. She needs 30 Faith to do Vow of Silence, her mother's miracle, and 50 Int to do her father's sorcery White Dragon Breath. I already have a toon like this, but she has black hair :/

Not to derail my own thread, but why would she need to cast Vow of Silence? I guess if you really wanted it to be some kind of inheritance for role-playing purposes it somewhat makes sense, but as far as I know Priscilla never does anything like it :|

And I was kind of hoping for builds that were more like they were shot down in theorizing, where you had an idea for a new build to try but then after actually getting into planning it you see some kind of huge flaw that should've been really obvious that crumbles your awesome idea in an utterly spectacular way

On my 3rd or 4th toon I had the Parish Channeller drop his trident. It was going to be my pure pyro build, but when I got the trident so early and so unexpectedly, I changed it up and made the build around the trident....

....not as fun as it seemed. Barely used the toon and when I ran out of slots he was the first to go.

Disappointing...I was actually thinking of doing a Channeler-mimic build as my next playthrough

When I got my channeler's trident I made a Satan cosplay, instead of Pyro I went mage for the Trident scaling with Int.however I'm not good with mages at all .

I have yet to delete him because he is the last character of mine with the trident so he is a bit of an artifact.

My pure melee "Caska" build, and to a lesser extent, my "Guts" build.

Pure melee is just too difficult when everyone else has high damage ranged/spell options.

At least Guts got the Avelyn, but that's a pretty easy weapon to avoid.

A straight Vit build, but then quickly realized you get almost nothing for the investment after 50.

Hmm...while I'm still thinking about Int builds, anybody ever tried the titanite Catch Pole? I've noticed on my last few runs that if you kill all the titanite Demons in Sen's Fortress you're guaranteed to get it and it seems interesting (though admittedly a cosplay build with it would be a bit difficult lol).

on my first build i had 30 vit 25end 40str 22dex 30faith and 20int it sucked. i now have at least 50vit+ and 35end+ every build

40 dex and 40 str with low vit and red/blue tearstone ring, my first build, thought he would be like a berserker.
