I'm surprised they didn't, actually. From Software's Armored Core series has so much customisation you can spend 2 hours painting your AC :o

I would love the chance to dye armor. The amount of armor pieces I could mix and match without looking odd would increase dramatically. That and the idea of an invader stumbling into the world of a host wearing full pink smough's puts a smile on my face
