Its not odd at all when you consider that the moonlight butterfly, a creation of seath, is also found in the dark root garden.

the channeler is there to monitor the dragon i guess....(they are seaths assistants and the gaping dragons a mutant, seath makes mutants, soo... gd=lab experiment under observation?) wasn't all this covered by acidic cook in the lore section anyway? the channeler in the parish is there to collect specimens and maybe observe a prototype experiment (the mecha boar, the ones in the archives have butt armor as an upgrade from their research i guess)

Butt armor LOL, also OP, Acid's thread covers almost everything that's odd on the game.
