Favorite Spear Weapon?

What is your favorite spear weapon and why? I'm trying to figure out which one to upgrade, and I like all of them so far (I don't have the named spears yet.)

Is it just me, or does the regular Spear have the fastest R1 attack?

Demon spear is the only 1 i use, dont know what its r1 attack is like as i only use in my left hand.

I like the Winged Spear mainly for the speed and reach on it. Better range than the normal Spear but just as fast.

Butterfly Horn!

Ornstein looks the best just pipping the horn

therefore that makes it my favourite.

Silver Knight, it doesn't have the highest AR for me , but it's reach and looks are very freaking good.

partizan has a sweeping r2 combo, very nice.

Winged Spear for the Demons Soul hommage.

Silver Knight spear has disappointed me (made a build around SK weapons)

Demons Spear can't miss....literally

Same goes for the Dragon Slayer spear

Moonlight is only viable for INT builds

I've heard good things about the partizan but have no first hand experience

Try the Pike. The Running Attack if awesome, and it makes you seem like a spartan when used with a large leather shield and a sword. Its length is one of the greatest of the spears, only rivaled by such demon spear. Plus, you can put more content into it. Imagine a Demon Spear that you can put Sunlight Blade on, and scales better at +15. May not have the same r2 attack, which sucks PVP wise, but it is a good thrust that does a good amount of damage. I have two handed, left handed, and one handed that weapon with shotels and the leather shield. It's good. Try it out. its worth about 3000 or 2000 souls from Andre.

Its called a Pike. Strength and some dexterity is needed for it being weilded properly (I think 23/12, str/dex)

Pike is absolutely perfect, it has the longest range of all spears, and the running attack its so danm hilarious! But its also very slow, so watch out for backstabs

I enjoy using the butterfly horn myself. It hits through shields very effectively. (you can out turtle turtles ) and it has a great range

lol... now I really can't decide. They alll seem good

I use the partizan, the SK spear is just lacking AR and the DS needs too much investment.

all spears r good in ther own way.., its drs you use the weapon that fits your game style... for me spears r a NO NO n i never realy liked using the simply coz its not same to prod some1 to death as smashing him or braking his neck

Great range, very good damage and yes... the running attack is hilarious!
