by javarush214 Tue Mar 20, 2012 5:33 amHi guys, i have a new build my primary weapon is the gravelord GS, i wanna ask what would be a good swift weapon that can deal a decent amount of backstab damage incase my enemy heals, I was thinking of a straight sword so that i could shuffle up my tactics from attacking with the gravelord GS to something faster. The best thing i have in mind right now would be a gargoyle halberd, it deals quite a decent damage with backstab, and specially with reposte damage, but its not as quick as a straight sword. oh also, scratch the idea of rapiers and daggers.

The rapier has the best critical damage out of all the small weapons. It outdoes all other weapons with critical rates higher than 100. Combined with the hornet ring you can deal backstabs around 1200. Plus it's classy as hell.
Now if you just want to max your bs damage there's always the lightning zwie.

Unfortunately if you're sticking to this then there really isn't much in terms of backstabs that will show any considerable improvement. Those two weapons types are the only kinds that really get any special bonus from backstabbing, so if you were to go with something like the longsword you suggested it wouldn't be very effective as a backstab-specific weapon. You'd be best off going with what others have said here and picking a big weapon with really high AR (am I using that term properly?), though that doesn't really work for changing up your playstyle from the GLGS.

Well, if he doesnt like high critical weapons, I consider using weapons with high AR. As Serious said, use the hornet ring if you dont have the strength/dex nor the buff for high damage.

when back stabbing I like using axes the most because they hit twice sure the first hit doesn't hurt much but together with the hornet's ring the two attacks do wonders

part of the problem people see with BS is that just about EVERY weapons is good with it.

Hi guys, im not really planning to use hornet ring for the build, the main focus of my build isnt really backstabbing, im just finding a good weapon that can deal a decent amount of damage if ever my enemy tries to flask on my face. anyways if rapier would be the swiftest weapon near the straight sword, then, guess ill have to practice more with that weapon.
