Yeah, that is a strange negative. Figured me or Tolvo perhaps as the naysayers. Acidic I might have to check out that post and get back to ya. I've mostly stayed away from your thread so I can meander on my own more thoroughly but as of late I have not been doing much of that.

Re: The God of War
Who has dismissed the idea Acidic? Openly, who has? I can understand sometimes we get caught up on something and turn a blind eye to other parts, but it isn't shrugging off the idea. We are just a bit focused on something else at the moment. You might find some of us agree with you, for one I find it entirely possible both of those Deities are the same being. The statues, pole arms, and lightning magic of both have always been interesting ties to me. The reason for the negative is the amount of assumption of negative aspects of others, the post just comes off as a bit immature and offensive. I don't feel I should have to explain why I gave the negative, but for your sake I will anyway. Just remember we each have our own views, and have to be considerate. I think the Art is Andre idea is a bit out there, but I just present what I can and say what I think is different. He doesn't have to accept that, but just remember we all different views Acidic. If you want to discuss it just bring it up with us and we'll talk about it. Your thread is sort of a difficult place to discuss because of the many ideas bouncing around there.

Re: The God of War
The dismissive aspect is the factor of lack of it being said for a good long month or so. I think that looking at them and His Aphrodite would be a good way of looking at things. God of War has more than just blood family, I would think.
It makes it sad how the God of War subject is going around in circles Tolvo. You look at the same facts again and again. Maybe it is time to look at something else outside from common searchings. I would like to see you people find discovery.
Food for Thought.

I've yet to see much change Tolvo. It is just what I see.
And yes, I have observed subjects in the Archives many times, and the point is still their: circles and seemingly closed research. Discoveries have been somewhat diminished from here.

Re: The God of War
Well recently I've been focusing on mostly reading that damn english wall, and arabian myth. So I'm not entirely interested in the GoW. Everyone just has their own interests they focus on and switch up every now and then.

Re: The God of War
Just to clear something up back on page 5.
Originally, Andre was "suppose" to play a bigger role and 'aide' the player in their journey. At one point, andre was "suppose" to move a statue, that opens up a path to his forge. NOT Open the path of the kiln. - this is stated in the Dark Souls- Design Works interview
Also - if you check out the first few pages in the 'Early Design' section -> there are conceptual drawings of this - looks as if andre pushed the statue in firelink shrine and this reveals his forgery

He was however, a descendant of Gwyn originally.
Acidic There arent enough hardcore lore hunters left. I think SKare's the only one truly dedicated still, Ive kind of lost my will to search and Tolvo isnt around as much. Thats why its slowed down here.

I've actually been playing Skyrim mostly. Been called back to test a couple things for people but honestly probably too lazy to test my own latest crazy theory

Re: The God of War
I have tried a lot of your guys ideas - sadly people usually post their same results prior to me, so i just leave it be.
Anyway - is there anything in particular i could test / check out for you guys ??
My current playthrough i just did the following:
- rang both bells (church than queelags)
- i did not kill any npcs
- i have killed and summoned all possible npc phantoms
- i have progressed all npc side quests as fr as possible
- i have not spoken with crestfallen at firelink since frampt
Arrived, i want to keep him alive (i was planning on keeeping all NPc's alive this palythru)
- i have not given blacksmiths any embers (i was plannjng on holding them
All)
- i have not used any unique boss souls (only have queelag so far, but i want to keep all)
- i have collected Only the blighttown Firekeeper soul (leaving the one in the parish til reah arrives, i do plan on grabbing the others)
Basicaly im trying to hold onto a bunch of unique items. (FS souls, embers, Boss souls, etc) thru the entire playthru to see if i experience any different dialogue / npc interactions

Say no to Kaathe when have Lordvessel. His reaction is a little more off compared to rejection from Frampt

Re: The God of War
WyrmHero wrote:You have very good points there Chiz, but one of the Item Descriptions ( I think its Sunlight Blade) says that he only has respect for arms and nothing more.
it could be Ornstien! his spear is on the statue, and if the GoW only used arms, but it also mentions the GoW used lightning spears so his spear that shoots lightning must mean.... he is the god of war (i prbly screwed something up in there or got some info wrong).
heres another theory im strongly with. maybe the god of war isint even in the game! perhaps hes just something that was mentioned often and will never be seen until the dlc or perhaps not even then! maybe there will be more solaire hints during the dlc! who knows?

Re: The God of War
Or perhaps the perception of it being a spear is a distraction to an actual hilt of another blade

Re: The God of War
yes but that leaves us clueless again as to who might be the god of war. and im against the siegemeyer idea completely. no strong evidence, he is black, (not being rasicst Gwyn is white though so logically he must be white as well.) hes from catarina, they are black. again i say its prbably not even an npc right now.
