First build?

Probably a boring Qual build. I'm not very imaginative when it comes to builds. i like my builds like my books, loads of swordplay with a wickle bit of magic.

I always feel i need to roll a str build. I dunno, Will have to see if there is any secondary elemental augments like dex, int, and fai might be getting.. it can be a more difficult PvE play-style since you mainly rely on straight-up melee with encumbering, slow weapons, but when they connect its soo satisfying.

If not, its my second favorite melee class: Dex. I enjoyed the lesser scythe and murakumo alot, and use those more than anything in pvp.

What I WONT be doing is allowing myself to get tempted by a cool looking special weapon and allocate my souls to meet stat requirements like, say: str 24, dex 18, int 20, fai 20... Im going to be disciplined first playthru.

I was thinking about starting off with a DEX build, but now that I think about it I'm going with a quality build to try out a bigger variety weapons.

I find slow one hit wonders extremely satisfying so chances I'm gonna go for that =P

Here's hoping they don't gimp STR in DS2.

The thing that scares me about DS2 is that if they dont re-release it for next gen, my current machine gonna have to last until 2016 at least lol.

My initial thought was Str/Fth, just judging but what I saw. But I'm thinking I'll just test it out and see.

Something with faith so I can use Great Magic Barrier. Because **** magic that's why.

Something similar from me, either as a d-bag mage hunting Dead Assassin like old Avrik the Crow was, or a good holy Templar/ corrupt enforcer of a knight like Kador or Cyrian used to be.

So that's either a

Dex/Faith/ Pyro/Dark Magic (depending on which is more necro suitable)
Str/Faith
Dex/Faith

An int build for if they keep the trident. if not then well....

I love this shift of the thread lol from at first "idk ill see what happens" to now, after a small amount of info comes out about stuff, people are now legit picking where they wanna start :3

so dex, attunement, etc all have extra benefits now...... what's STR!?!?!!?! (secretly hopes for extra poise mwahhahaha)

STR boosts the attack break attribute which governs the damage done to enemy equipment when you attack.

I'm not really sure you will see any effective benefit from that though, unless its possible to break a shield in several hits.

If I can make some kind of Shadow Knight... I'm going to make a mother bleeping Shadow Knight.
So probably Quality/Faith, if I manage to sort that out.

I'll be going my favourite glass-cannon witch build - all intelligence and attunement, no vitality. This time around I'll make sure not to look anything up while I'm playing the game so that I'll really have to explore the areas to find the powerful spells and stuff. I just hope that the enemy AI will be better equipped to deal with ranged combat in this game. Dodging, taking cover and/or rushing in instead of slowly lurching towards you.
