Darkmoon Invasions in the Township?

Is the township a good place to invade as a Darkmoon? I usually avoid using the Blue Eye Orb since it seems to be a lot less reliable than the Red Eye Orb and I have a silly idea that would work best invading as a blue phantom (or rather as a spirit of Vengance) though I guess it could work as a red one.

So in short, should I bother with a Darkmoon character for invading the township?

Unless you want to be higher level then others, I suggest Dark wraith, purely for more constant PvP. You could also go the path of being a Darkmoon and invading through cracked red eye orbs. 198 should be plenty of PvP for a while. I naturally assume this is for the buff? It is why a lot seem to do it. I'd personally go with Sunlight blade for that just because it is lightning damage, and unless they have Ornstein armor or something similar you won't find a person with high lightning resist, nor is there a shield with very great lightning resist.

Township is where I invade with my Darkmoon, it all depends really. Some days its instant, some days I wait 2-5 minutes for one.

Mary mother of christ is this not true. You're more likely to invade closer to your level than farther, and you're just as likely to invade up to 10%+10 sl's up as you are to invade 10%+10 sls down, unless you're going out of your way to be over leveled. (ie going to a 120 dueling spot at 130, darhwraiths can do this too however)


The blue orb is generally slower than the red, so get used to hosting if you're going that way, but yeah the orb works fine. my average wait time is 2 minuites, but this is assuming random invasions at random times of day and assuming I'm not invaded, depending on time of day/location it gets to be nearly instant.

If you pay attention to where you are, and when, you shouldn't have much trouble.

I get a ton of invasions from Darkmoons in the Township on both my sl80 & sl120 toons so yes it's actually not a bad place to Darkmoon unless I'm the only one in the Township who's sinned
