There is inequality between both genders, sure it is way worse for females, and that is a huge social problem.
But it is given way to much focus on single cases instead of the issue as a whole.
Education about it is not serving any good purpose either, as they do not tell everything and instead tells men "Do not ****". (EDIT:Also, female on male **** is not taken as seriously.)
This thread will probably be locked, so I am trying to make my response as fast as possible.
This is a social problem, having gotten it's roots from a patriarchal society that existed many years ago, but as society develops so does social issues, and you should always try to teach the general public about things like ****, domestic violence and issues such as lesser pay.
It is getting better, isn't it? Sure, we haven't reached full equality, but in western world it is quickly growing towards a equal society. Some things however are different.
Men, and I am generalizing greatly, usually have a more "developed" spatial sense, allowing them to have an easier time for things such as flying airplanes, driving and such. Sources: 1 2 3
I am sorry, I had a very hard time finding sources and fact about female things and such, there is not a similar amount of it online. I do apologize. But studies have shown that women generally have better social abilities, remembering faces and talking. I really do apologize, I had a very hard time with this, so feel free to ignore this. There is also studies that show that women can usually make more rational choices. Look here for studies and similar
I am generalizing greatly, mostly it is up to the individual.
The social issues need to be addressed, but we should remember that there are differences between the genders.
I wish for a truly socially equal society, do not get me wrong, but ignoring biological differences can hurt society more than it should.
About salary, I think that should get the same amount of money. I am still baffled to why they get paid less, I honestly think that there should be no difference whatsoever, if both gender to the same thing. Also, many of the woman-dominated careers are drastically underpaid, and that should also be addressed.
I am very sorry if I offended anyone.
Edit: Personally I wish for this thread to be locked. This is the internet and calm debates are rare. This is a topic that easily lays ground for flame wars.
