This scene is one of the most powerful ones in the movie, too bad they messed it up real bad.
It's sad to see how much potential this movie could've had.

Any of you guys ever see the show Bully Beatdown? I decided to try Hulu Plus for a month, and it's one of the shows I queued to check out because it sounded funny, and it really is. It's operated by a pretty well known MMA fighter, and basically he gets sent tapes from people who are being bullied, and he chooses the more severe ones, goes and finds the bullies and offers them $10,000 to fight an MMA fighter for 6 minutes. If they lose the people they were bullying get all the money, and essentially they always lose. So it's basically ego maniac bullies getting the crap knocked out of them by huge professional fighters and having their pride severely damaged on television and then being made to apologize afterwards. Worth checking out if you like MMA stuff and think that sounds funny. Last episode Adrei Arlovski was the fighter. Jon Murphy has been on it a few times now too.

Yup. Especially when they go into it all c ocky and get a fighter that has personal issues with bullying. Ends up being bullies getting bullied by bigger guys. The one with the bully who broke the arm of the kid he had been bullying was great. The MMA fighter just went for his arm the entire time. Or the one with the big huge guy who had been bullying women. That one was awesome. Jon Murphy fought that guy and was clearly pissed. Took him to school.

I like how the bullies always get a taste of their own medicine too. It's not just "the bully gets beat up", they literally get backlash for the types of things they do.
What's even funnier is the fact that the bullies actually believe they can survive in the ring long enough to even get the money.

Some of them are just ridiculous in that regard. Especially the smaller ones with no muscle who think they can win. The one guy who was calling himself the king of his town. He was tiny and fought this huge guy and was saying he'd win right up until the fight started

I'm not going to lie, if someone asked me to sit in the ring with a trained fighter, I wouldn't care how much money I'd get, I wouldn't do it. There's a fine line between stupidity and insanity, and those bullies are outright stupid.

Agreed. Sometimes they have these tournaments, I can't remember what they're called, where amateur fighters fight in a tournament against each other and the winners get chances to fight professional fighters. I went to one at the Indian Casino a couple cities over a few years back. That was pretty cool, but all the people who fought clearly had some form of training, save maybe a couple that either mostly lost in their first fights and were eliminated or one guy who was just big and tough as nails who last a few fights then lost.

Both of those are names of events for something completely different, so I don't *think* it would be called one of those.
Seems like a cool idea, but there doesn't seem to be any point of it. If I'm going to fight someone, there's going to be a reason.
