ng+ : what are good dex weapon

Hello folks,

now that I'm through my first playthrough in DeS I'm asking myself what good dex weapons are?
The first playthrough I only uses the falicon and upgraded it to +8 this was quite enough. My dex ist 35. But what could I do in ng+ to have something really good dex weapon? Is there a weapon that scales with dex with A or even with S?

You could take the falchion to +10 and make Quelaag's Furysword. It has B scaling, but it's one of the coolest looking weapons in the game. Or, the Great Scythe is another good dex weapon. It has B scaling until +14, then it's A. Plus, it has great reach and a versatile moveset.

Ah, sorry. Didn't catch that you said Demon's Souls.

I use a Sharp Uchigatana +5 which gains an S rating in Dex, only problem is to get any weapon to +5 sharp you need a Pure Bladestone, which can potentially take days to farm. All +5 Sharp weapons have an S in Dex so if you want freedom to use more weaponry, it might be worth it to try and farm the Bladetone. Only other weapon I know off the top of my head is the Meat Cleaver which scales with S in Str/Dex, but requires 26 Str and 16 Fth to use. If you're not against bows for long range, a Sticky Compound Long Bow at +5 using Heavy or White Arrows is really powerful at higher Dex, and again at +5 the Dex scaling is S. Pure Spiderstone is received after the Armor Spider fight, and Spiderstone shards and chunks can be farmed off of the miners.

How do I get a Sharp Uchi +5? I have used a lot of sharpstones for the Falichon+8. Isn't this a sharp Falichon?

Sharpstone is used to upgrade slashing or piercing weapons on their default upgrade path,it basically acts as Hardstone does for shields and blunt weapons. Bladestone is what you'll need for a Sharp weapon. They're dropped by skeletons throughout Shrine of Storms. The Pure Bladestone is only dropped by a Black Skeleton behind an illusory wall in 4-2 after the first Reaper, or by a Black Phantom Katana Skeleton right outside the area with the third Reaper when on PBWT. I got mine from the non-BP skeleton because I simply found it easier to kill and farm repeatedly. PBWT is a must if you go for it, regardless of whether you fight the BP or not.

Sharp Uchigatana, Hiltless, Sharp Kilij, Sharp Scythe, Stick Compund Longbow.
If you are a pure dex build you should also try casting the Cursed Weapon spell with a broken Talisman of Beasts (broken meaning not meeting the magic requirements of the catalyst).

Hello folks,

now I have a Sharp Uchi+5 and a Sticky Composite Longbow +5 .
But I must say the difficulty in ng+ is still very challenging, if not frustrating . My char already has sl approx. 90+ and dex is about 37. I almost don't know what else I could do to improve the fun and to reduce the frustrating element.
I still have no spells. Some very difficult bosses become easy in co-op.
But the way to the next boss is often very difficult too. For example the way to the Penetrator was a piece of cake in ng but in ng+ it took me 2 hours.
