Lightning strike took out my PS3 and 1 HDMI port on the Panasonic tv ( amongst other electrical devices).   New PS3 arrives, I hook it up HDMI, nothing but a black screen, so I take it to the bedroom hook it up HDMI , works fine, I do all the setup there except wireless Internet. Bring it back to Panasonic tv, black screen, so I reset video and hook up the Composite, works at 480i, not so good.   I try to change to HDMI , always goes black, no display.   My old ps3. Never had a problem hooking to this tv..   The HDMI ports being tried are tested true-true and good, they are displaying fine for other devices.
Doing first system update to see if this fixes:no see:  It.
Google search and others with Panasonic tv's have this problem.  Anybody here offer a solution, besides hooking it up in the bedroom. I like to play later at night when the wife sleeps.   don't really want to play DkS in 480i either.
Oh, where you can configure your output connection, I could get composite/D to display NTSC???,  but when I added check arks to 720 and higher, she goes blank.  Then reverts back.   No HD output.  This makes no sense

I had an issue with my new PS3 when I tested it on a different TV then tried to put it back on my main TV (Mitsubishi).  I believe I had to put it on the TV that worked (not the Mitsubishi), change the resolution to the lowest setting (480 which you know you don't want already) but on the HDMI output source still. Then when I put it back on the TV it could view the picture and I could change my resolution to what I wanted it to be.
