I consider myself decent at pvp. But so often I'm invaded or I invade people decked out in all giants armor and MoM or MoC. These guys have so much health and poise. And they ninja flip everywhere. What's the trick to killing these guys? Cause I feel like its almost not possible.

Re: Everybody's setup.
become one of them
poise is part of the game, and to get it you need heavy armor. its best to have at least 53 poise. wolf ring and steel gauntlets give you 54 poise. you can fast roll with light armor and that combo. with small weapons and shields unless you have very high end.

Re: Everybody's setup.
sorry i didnt really answer your question at all....
i take it your new at pvp. dealing with each player comes down to what weapon they have and how they are behaving. it takes practice, but eventually it wont really matter what armor or gear the person has.

Re: Everybody's setup.
viral you should add steal gauntlets to that set up. you might still be able to fast roll if you have 40 end and maybe just have shotelRH,great scytheRH,a parrying dagerLH. would let you take one blow from a two handed greatsword and not stagger(great for casting pyros)

Be creative and deceptive. If you go at them head-on you're gonna have a hard time. Develop a style of your own using gear you like, and learn tricks to improve your overall performance.

Practice. Eventually you'll see someone using Havels/Giants, MoM, and BKGA and laugh. *insert Pinkie Pie song*

I dont believe in poise. Its never saved me in a fight yet only slowed me down or made for good rp value. Nope I am a lithe and graceful master of all things... but hit me once and im a goner!
Also no Parry dagger. I like symmetry in my characters

Re: Everybody's setup.
whenver i see them i switch to my hornet's ring and ohko them since i know all the do is bs, whats the point of all that armor if all youre gonna do is dance around until you get a bs? boring. i see it as a waste of time.

On my current Knight character I am decked out with Stone knight set except for chest which is Armor of Sun, but this is used with a Medium roll.

Re: Everybody's setup.
Nothing wrong with poise. Nothing wrong with flipping Havel-BKGA setups. But, the type of people who use them are usually poise-pivot BS fishers and extremely boring to fight. Strafing until they get close enough to pivot BS you. But, that seems to be their only strategy.
So, keep moving, roll in, hit, roll out. Try fighting unlocked, you are less predictable than if you are strafing.
Also, just for giggles, back up to a wall so you can't be BSed and fight from there. It is funny to see some people (who only know how to poise stab) try to fight when they can't BS you.

Re: Everybody's setup.
^^ Amen - I am casually running a dual wield MLBH build and damn it is good! CSS on BS fishers because I refuse to bs, and it is funny as hell casually whipping out the heater shield and parrying people

Re: Everybody's setup.
I run full black iron set. High poise, lots of health, but I legitimately have high health and medium roll. Death by a thousand cuts is the way to kill them. You wont stunlock them. Just be patient with your moves. They become very predictable after a few times.

Re: Everybody's setup.
I use this on two of my builds.
http://tinyurl.com/bmq7rg9
This on the other eight.
http://tinyurl.com/cs7g92c
I wish I could fast roll with the first two, but it's just not possible with what they are.
The latter, consist of mostly Great/Lifehunt Scythe builds.
