Could the 4 Knights possibly return? (speculation)

I've been thinking for a while now, that if this game was a direct prequel to Dark Souls, would that mean you could see the four knights return in their former glory? Ornstein could help you slay those pesky dragons, Gough could help you from afar, Artorias and Sif could help you with problems with the Abyss (if it returned, that is), and Ciaran could do something I've yet to determine. Before any of you say that would give the game essentially an easy mode, I've thought over that, and just make them regular phantoms, like Tarkus and Beatrice, but tone them down, so Ornstein wouldn't slay the dragons within 10 seconds.

This would also bring back all the items related to the knights (my Artorias build would return!), and since them game has added effects on clothing so it blows in the wind, that means that Ornsteins plume/hair could be added to his helmet.

What do you think? Do you think this could happen?

True, I've gathered it is, since one of the game-play interviews shows a scene with the air literally full of freaking dragons (ENB points it out too), so we can only hope as of now

With time travel probably being a thing, i would expect a appearance by at least one of them... wouldn't it be cool just to see them kicking *** off in the distance of some level while you do your own business.
