    Gwyndolin possibly a phantom?

Post by Knight Alundil on Sun Oct 07, 2012 1:07 am

We've assumed that Gwynevere is a phantom. She dissipates into a white misty mess.

Gwyndolin also dissipates into the same white misty mess when you defeat him.

They are both in the same direction when the lady of the darkmoon tells you to "Seek gwyns old keep". She says head over yonder and if you are the chosen undead a revelation shall visit thee.

Is she definately talking about gwynevere? I know when she says keep that implies the main castle area and not the tomb but to be honest it doesnt specifically negate the tomb, does it?

    Thoughts?

HE is not a phantom. And every enemy dies banishing like that. Descriptions of items clearly states that he is the last deity in Anor Londo.

Gwyn also disappears like that when he dies.

Also Gwynevere is an illusion made by Gwyndolin to keep Anor Londo enlightened.

    The correct statement is:

The Gwynevere we see in Anor Londo is an illusion, along with the sun itself in Anor Londo, to fool undead into following Frampt/Gwyndolin's plans.

The part in italic it's my opinion the other is a fact. Also don't forget that Gwynevere exists, it's not an illusion, it's just that she is not anymore in Anor Londo. The one in Anor Londo it's a fake created by his brother Gwyndolin.

Yah. Perhaps they are all phantoms and the entire thing is just a setup by Kaathe and Frampt and the only thing we really have to fear is the abyss?
