Level 55 Build

For anyone that has fought me you know that I very much enjoy being an aggressive fighter that spams the R1. And I made a build based around my favorite play style for the event.

Stamina regen is off the charts. And Catarina gauntlets because they look cool. Was debating between the grass crest shield for that extra boost in stanima regen or the bloodshield for the imminent mass of level 50's using Katana's, but decided to stock up on Bloodred moss instead and much on it mid fight. BSS because I can be more aggressive with it then a Uchi Katana and with the Crossbow I don't need the mega-range that the Katana's can get with their thrust attack. And the spells are for either people that turtle a lot or are going duel-wield and can't protect against the fire. Oh, and the crossbow is there instead of a bow because the area for the even is much too small to be taking the time to draw that bow, and definitely not worth the damage, as the person will most likely attack as you are firing.

Any suggestions? If not could say what you will be using for the event.

Hmm, I use a similar weapon setup on my main dex/pyro build. I would suggest you swapping the Cloranthy ring for the Wolf ring, as Mask of the shield + Grass crest shield should be more than enough for a straight sword R1 mashing. I personally love the R2 on the balder Side Sword, and it has won me many a duel...along with the occasional Gank Spank pyro combo

I'd go with 32 poise instead of 26 for katana exchanges.

I'd go with the light crossbow to make room for poise. That AR difference at that soul level is marginal.

The fireball pyro wont do you any good at the event against forum players imo.

Make your xbow lightning and use lightning bolts, that way your damage isn't bilaterally scaled.

HaHaHaHa ^ that signature ! I agree, if you can afford it, lightning bolts are the way to go. Although aren't you only allowed to use given weapons in the event?.

I love spamming R1 too.

I'd suggest dual wielding a katana and a notched-whip though. That way you can spam to get the bleed damage, and the whip is unparriable.

Doesn't matter anymore. Used a different set up last night with a much tankier, much more annoying build. 77 poise, washing pole, spear, avelyn and mask of the child. Was very funny fights

That washing pole r1 spamming will get you into trouble tho Archmage. I missed the parries the one time we fought last night, and the next time i was 2 handing a greatsword, but better players will not let a 2nd slash go through :/

Notched Whip idea is the tits tho, I like to hold the WP in my left and notched in my right to occasionally two hand it. the reverse is just as effective

U shouldnt spam just because u wanna but there is certain moment where u gotta know when 2 spam also 4 dat build i would go wolf ring since u dont really need the stam regen since there is the grass shield n blossoms u can use or if not wolf ring go dwgr with 36 or 31 poise

If I notice that people are trying to parry me just back off and kill them with pokes. Which I did a lot to you after I noticed you parrying. >_> That range. And I might try the whip idea, but I min-max my builds a lot and even that slight extra weight might make me need to use the normal whip. The toon I used at the FC last night was very, very minmaxed. My parrying is alot different then others but 4 ur build i would try using an uchi instead it does the same damage and it is faster also takes less points than a washing pole which will allow more stats for others
