Mine would be climbing ladders.

How do you slide down them anyways? I never could figure that out and I've tried everything :-\
I don't like durability, DS your weapons break constantly, in DkS it almost never does, ( I have yet to do so)

My weapons dont break, i just have to repair them after every level, im intending on using sharp uchi but im wondering whether it's 70 durability is enough because of how it goes down so quickly on demons :|

The dex bonus should be worth it, especially if you repair after every level. (I would every 2 or so)

Not just having to repair your weapons, but the price of repairing them, I find it kind if expensive.

I wholeheartedly agree with the ladders. It's just... so.... slow. I also feel that the menu options, like choosing "yes" or "no" the repair a weapon for example, are a tad slower. It's not unbearable but sometimes I end up constantly hitting "no" when I want to hit "yes" because I misjudge the menu speed.

I liked the atmosphere in Demon's Souls better. It had darker levels then Dark Souls lol. I loved being summoned as the boss. That was the best idea they had. Why did they get rid of it?

Definitely ladders. And I'd have to say the item burden system is inconvenient, while not unfair it does suck that I sometimes have to break the flow of going through a level simply because I have to return to Thomas to dump stuff like ores.

So everyone agrees that climbing ladders in Demon's Souls is horrible? XD

I always carry the ring of Herculian Strength, the one that increases item burden. if I get the "Can't carry", message then I equip that ring and continue through the level. It helps about 99% of the time. Once I killed Garl Vinland and tried to pick up his Grant, but I couldn't. Then I equiped the ring and still couldn't pick it up. That only happened once.
The ladders in Dark Souls was a great improvement. Not only could they be climbed faster, but you can also slide down them.
I also think Stockpile Thomas was better then the Bottomless Box. The Bottomless Box sorts things based on type (Ex. weapon, armor, ect.), but Thomas sorts things based on sub - type (Ex. dagger, shield, helment, ect.). Thomas made it easier to find a specific item. The Bottomless Box made it feel like looking for a needle in a haystack.

How armor is treated in Demon's I'm not really a fan of. Armor is essentially worthless due to the low amount blocked and the lack of poise. Some find this to be a great thing since all that matters is mainly the cosmetic of the armor. Since many of them have similar weights you just wear whatever you want.
My favorite looking set in Demon's is the Brushwood set. So I'd always be fat rolling which leaves you at a huge disadvantage in Demons when compared to Dark. That always really bugged me and I just don't like it.

Because often people would farm people as the boss, with insanely op'd weapons. hell I would do it at level 50 with Northern Regalia and Old king's Armor.WandererReece wrote:I liked the atmosphere in Demon's Souls better. so basicly to put it bluntly, you couldnt balance it for the host player, if the BP was well versed in the game.

shield- in demon souls your lucky if you can block 2 atks they are near worthless
ladders- the 1 i hate the most is the one right in the sight of 2 guys with crossbow -_-"
rings- this goes for both games there is little use for most of them in the game and if your not human you really only get 1 ring because the hp ring is a must i mean pluage ring gives 2sec of res
last is
haveing to kill yourself after every invasion(if you win) or summon its alittle annoying but meh it take like 1 min

The way you hold shields in Demon's Souls looks sooooo dumb! D=<
Glad they fixed it(a bit, could do better with small and great but eh, close enough).

You can, they just didn't.
They needed to *** with the BP's weapons too. Cap that Old Monks DPS and if the player is using anything stronger then that have it's AR temporarily decreased.

Old Monk was supposed to be representative of the PvP system aside from the usual invasions, it wouldn't be quite fair to the invader to cap the AR or very representative for the host either. Sure, Old Monk would have some nasty opponents farming hosts but just like other bosses(False King Allant in particular), if you got defeated you should find a way to beat it. There's also a offline mode Old Monk that uses claws instead if you really can't stomach the invaders.Rynn wrote:You can, they just didn't.Conrack wrote:Because often people would farm people as the boss, with insanely op'd weapons. hell I would do it at level 50 with Northern Regalia and Old king's Armor.WandererReece wrote:I liked the atmosphere in Demon's Souls better. ^ Old Monk offline is easy. Once I almost stunlocked him to death with the Blueblood Sword.
Also, I can't see how it would be too hard if you could have a 3v1. Also, if the "boss" is too OP then the host could just block him so he get another "boss".
Of course there's also the what dosen't seem to be as obvious as it should be offline mode. I know that's what all the greifers post, but that's a good way to get an easier boss. The only bad thing is it's 1v1 unless From makes a summonable computer ally for the fight.

I always 1v1 Old Monk, I've never even heard of the ganking concept until DkS. Old Monk was a challenge, but a challenge I thoroughly enjoyed, even if it meant losing.WandererReece wrote:^ Old Monk offline is easy. Once I almost stunlocked him to death with the Blueblood Sword.

^ I never encountered one, but I heard they can completely break all of your armor.
I can just imagine what the repair cost would be. :affraid: It's 5,000 each for silver cornet and silver bracelets.

My first ever invader was a scraping spear user.
Naturally i had no idea why he kept hitting into my shield... That is until my only weapon broke.

1. No poise...holy crap...wtf heavy armor=useless
2. Climbing ladders was like a slow motion matrix scene
3. Blue Blood Sword builds...ugh...
4. Dem lag stabs are CRAY!!!
5. Item Burden...come on, you can lift 0.5 more pounds.
6. Segregating armor sets to different seckses
7. Invader Insta healing...they should stop chowing down on duped darkmoon grass in my world.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!!!The stupidest of them all...
Objective:
Look like you are an octopus spider hybrid who obviously failed Pre-K
Step 1:
Get a spear in the game Demons Souls, any spear
Step 2:
Equip the spear in your right hand and Press triangle to two-hand the spear
Step 3:
Hold the guard button. Now look in the mirror while you're guarding and tell yourself you look like a pretty princess

Honestly I thought these were good ideas, although males needed something similar to silver bracelets.

I actually liked the gender classed armours.. Women had more soul getting gear, men had the best armour (though armour is pretty **** overall)
