Book of the Guilty

The book of the guilty served two purposes.

It was a hit list for Darkmoons. It also listed how much sin everyone had. If you get indicted, then your sin increases.

One quote I read was, "I like how the Book of the Guilty is considered a leaderboard. I just love the gaming community sometimes." This made me realize what this list is to some people. It is motivation to be a bigger jerk then the biggest jerk.

I've heard the Book of the Guilty on Xbox and PC has turned into the Book of Hackers.

However, let's not forget the origional purpose of this Book. It was to show who's the most wanted, but not in a bad way. It was to show who the top dog is in the PvP world.

Should this book be in the 2nd game?

I looked at it once, after buying it, but by the time I got around to playing Souls properly, the game had been out a year. I'm pretty sure it had been hacked by that point. I never looked at it after that, so I'm indifferent towards it.

The book of the Guilty was a good idea that was not completely put together. If the book of the Guilty could have been used to check popular areas for darkwraith invasions it could help darkmoons get faster and better invasions.

Honestly I don't care...I've never seen any purpose for it and never check the book.
If they could make more detailed system for it in the sequel...maybe.

I only want it back if they can get some one to do a monthly check on it and remove the hack from the list because right now there are so many hacker that are very obvious

It wouldn't matter to me if it was removed from the game as it is now. All I see it as is a leaderboard which has gone to crap. If it does return, I wouldn't mind, but it'd be nice if it had more of an impact on certain covenants. Just spouting out ideas here, but what if a Darkmoon killed a high ranked Darkwraith in the book of the guilty and instead of getting just some souls, maybe they could be rewarded with something unique to their covenant, like a spell. Little things like that would be nice.

To me the book of the guilty makes the two covenants it deals with feel more alive... just having it in the game makes me feel like being in a covenant is an important thing.

The indictment system along with the book are two of the many good ideas for the game, though poorly implemented.

It would be nice if it wasn't hackable.

I'd like to see an added function for book of the guilty that would allow you to see the guiltys last known pvp whereabouts. Maybe go as far as you can select the names of the guilty that are currently online and invade them specifically. What do you all think?

Yep. I'm outta votes, so imaginary +1 and high-five.

I wish there were some moderators who would punish those players who obviously cheated the game and took their places in the top of the lists.

checked it out once, maybe twice. . .never really bore any relevance to anything i was doing, certainly didnt make me want to invade any more or less or go hunt sinners. .

make it more relevant or define its use a bit better then i'd probably go for it
