This seriously has to be the most annoying Wizard build you can run into unawares in Burg PvP. This is how the average match goes:

1. Bow Proper Bow

Proper Bow

2. Cast Pursuers Hurrah

Hurrah

3. Cast TWoP (while opponent is dodging Pursuers) Prayer

Prayer

4. Cast two Homing Crystal Soulmass (all orbs will hit) Hurrah

Hurrah

5. GG? (if they survive, repeat, starting with step 2) Well What is it

I take no credit for the build, but goddamn It, I have to appreciate it as a lover of Magic. Even still, the lack of Poise doesn't sit too well with me, and I don't understand what point the Fog Ring serves here. Shrug

Fog ring basically reduces lock on range and stops your pursuers or HCSM from laucnhing on them. It's a caty idea but devilishly ingenius.

My Hidden Body and jumping attacks just crushed your idea of homing spells and TWoP.
You'll be dead before my HB runs out. If not, i'll just attack once i see that stupid Dusk Crown.
Because almost all mages in the Burg are assholes.

Its funny how these crown of dusk, crystal catalyst, invisible ninja ring, twop, beads, and persuer spamming try hards believe that they are such great players because they have to use almost every buff in the game to fight. Real veteran players do not use and need to use these methods because they believe in their skill in weapon use to defeat their opponents. They don't use handicaps like buffs to fight. Its like bowling, you spot a lesser skilled player with what is called a handicap in extra points, when your a higher average player then him. Its to balance out the game and add equality. But when you have achieved a level of veteran status in this game and you still rely on buffs to compete in fights then honestly you are not very good at all. And as long as you rely on buffs you will never become a very good fighter regardless if you win alot, because think about it. It took you to use magic buffs and darkmoon, sunlight, crystal magic weapon buffs to beat a person who did not use any of those try hard methods to fight you. That is nothing to brag about becuase if your opponent used the same thing on you its very doubtful you would win at all. Thats how you tell veteran players from noobs. They dont buff. Period. Just my opin.

Everyone always hates on us fairy ears. True, I am a bloodthirsty f*cker, but I'm definitely not an as*hole. I DO NOT cast until my opponent bows and does all of his buffing. I don't use a bow, I actually engage with my right hand weapon, and I don't spam attacks. Constantly switching spells keeps my opponents on their toes.(It's more fun to catch someone off guard with a dark bead than to spam it in their face). Just check out my favorite build in the sig. It's not what you guys call "An as*hole fairy ear"

Havel's Shield is extremely rare in the SL100 range, Crest Shield folds over like a lawn chair (I don't know why that is, isn't it supposed to be anti-magic?), but Great Magic Shield IS GODLIKE.

Honestly though, which of you ever has GMS attuned? (I don't...)

At the end of the day, I think we can all learn something from this. Good ol hashtag dreamed of winning at PvP with minimal effort, and he made that dream a reality in creating a new type of a****** build.

I could put together a Havel build in the SL100 range.

You need no Dex, and you pump just about all of your points into Vit, Str, and End.

I agree with you 100%, you definitely could put together a build that uses Havel's Shield, but to what end? I think that I speak for everyone on this forum when I say that if we are given the proper time to prepare to fight any build, we will prevail as the winners, or at least give them a run for their money.

I personally ran into this build during some Undead Burg PvP. I was completely taken by surprise and lost the fight within the span of a few seconds.

Unprepared like myself, could you have done any different?

I always dodge pursuers towards the caster, in the case that they attempt to cast another persuers or I suppose TwoP I'm right there to punish them for it.

If I just loaded in to a guy with Pursuers up and twop on...well Personally I'd be toast, I think most anyone would be toast

I agree with you 100%, you definitely could put together a build that uses Havel's Shield, but to what end? Well you don't have to prepare to counter Havel's Shield. Chances are he's fat rolling or slow walking and BSing him is the easiest thing to do.

It's just a great defense against Magic, I prefer the Dark Hand and rolling for dodging magic.
