Being an ASSassin.

So over the last few days I have come upon the joys of the stealth kill in Dark Souls. Whether plunging from great heights, sneaking up close for that perfect backstab/ final hit, and failing and matching them strike for strike in an honourable battle.

As such I have come up with a dozen places to hide and sneak to within the parish, some exceedingly audascious such as hiding behind columns with my blade sticking into the wall so I'm no seen, and using my powers as a phantom to phase into large enemies tobecome totally obscured.

However most of my opponents are griefers and bb glitchers. Firstly are my sneaky shennanigans going to earn me a rep as a bad pvper, I don't ever intend to use it outside the parish on invaders, secondly as I'm a Gravelord and eyes are hard to come by is this a legitamate way of getting them.

I'm sort of in the grey about this.

what tools do you use? sounds effective, really no problem that i can see.

Sounds like the stealth builds in DeS. They were annoying as hell, but also pretty weak. Weak armor, no regen, no SC, no good rings.

Even though they were weaker, they were still no fun to duel. In invasions, they were lethal.

I primarily use, since going to the depths, a bandits dagger+5 or a similar partizan all decked out in hollow thiefs gear for extra bad @ ssery. Also have hornet ring from sifs yard.

i get the message kill or be killed too much to consider what your doing unfair or frowned upon. you have guys who attack while bowing, or triple teaming, or a number of other ways to win. so if someone can't find you then they should have been more careful, i love throwing the rof on when i get an invasion. people are impatient and can be fun to watch them hunt for whats right in front of them.

Yeah this morning I was Gravelording and at during that time I face well over half a dozen invaders of whom most were griefers. That said two guys did invade and were not so after messaging them that I wouldnt use my +10 weapons on them. They came back and we had many very close base weapon duels. Both were very accepting of the fact that I had inflicted BP on them and also backstabbed them as they first came into the world.

I suspect that they already had experience with griefers and what I did didnt really seem that bad to them. One guy was really awesome and I dropped him some souls before a duel.

this game is the only one i've played where you can have the scariest "WHOSe after me moments, omg omg!" and the deep breathe i'm about to duel with a guy who wants a nice 1on1 fair fight but damnit if i lose." both are equally exciting. and being a good host is also honorable imo.

In the wood im a forest hunter, so i host 1 on 1 pvps if i can afford to i always reward the victor, but since no one ever expects that situation. i'll regulate matches while wearing rof. i've seen some very funny scenarios

Yeah I know the feeling of oh god whose is after me. I have that all the time as I'm either being invaded by the spirits of vengeance or whether it is a griefer who can one shot me.
